Feature artist at the Tullamore Irish Festival, Damien Leith has just released his brand new single Halfway Heart - recorded in LA with the videoclip filmed in Ireland.
Damien - winner of season four of Australian Idol - will play at the Irish Festival on Saturday, April 19.
Damien wrote the track “Halfway Heart” while he was in LA.
He said of his inspiration, “Lots of different things inspired this song but especially for me it was watching a couple at dinner one night being really distant and I thought that they had lost the spark or given up on their relationship but kept hanging in there only half-heartedly.”
“This is a track I feel everyone out there can relate to, and it just so happens to be my lovely mothers favourite song which makes it a special one to me!”
Chapter Seven is Damien’s seventh album since 2006.
The acoustic pop and folk release represents an exciting new direction for the Irish-born Australian.
The album is Damien’s first as a producer and also his first as an Independent artist released through Social Family Records.
Damien was lucky enough to join forces with award winning songwriter and the man behind Roy Orbison’s biggest hits Joe Melson, to co-write on the album.
Damien is currently on tour, playing to venues throughout Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
