Thank you Shims and Dawn for the brilliant reports. Kazza, the lady spoke to Damien when he was buying his dinner and mentioned to him that she had read the book Remember June and saw the lyrics for Stay in it. She asked him a couple of questions about it. If you read the note on the card from Dawn to Damien you will notice she has asked for another tune from Remember June. That note was written before Dawn went to the concert so after receiving the gift and Damien relaying the story about the lady asking about Stay he sang it. I don't think it was on the original setlist. I thought of you at the time and mentioned to Dawn that you would be disappointed that you had missed out at Rooty Hill but we got it at Asquith. I will add something about when Damien sang Creep. At the part where the lyrics are 'I've got a perfect body' the usual wolfwhistles and comments got mentioned so when the lyric came around again Damien deliberately paused for it and said he was waiting (and taking full advantage of the responses). He was in fine form last night and so was Eric. Remember even though the outside world might be raining, if you keep on smiling the sun will soon show its face and smile back at you. – Anna Lee.

Great reports Shims and Dawn - reading them made me think I was there and wish I had been Maybe D got the nights mixed up Kazza and thought you'd be at this show? It was nice of D to sing Happy Birthday to that lady. I just wish he had sung it to Maria at Bennett's Lane. I had messaged him via FB earlier in that week, but she did not get her song which was disappointing for me and for her especially, although she wouldn't admit it. As it was a "0" birthday for her I thought he would have obliged. Anyway, can't stew over the past, who knows the reasons Kazza. Anyway, back to the positive... a fantastic set list, he really is quite a dag and seems like the audience were lapping it all up!

I am very disappointed that Damien doesn't promote himself. He didn't sing You and I at either Rooty Hill or at Asquith Leagues. He NEEDS to sing it and to mention that it was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition out of X thousand entries. It should be standard on the setlist along with Beautiful. Get your mileage when you can Damien. I must also mention Sussanah Carter. She opened for Damien at both Rooty Hill and Asquith. In the report on the RH thread I mentioned how good this young lady is. On both nights the audience was silent during her performances. Basically unheard of for a support act. Also, when Damien was singing part of the song in a really deep voice, then the high voice, deep, middle, high. It was so much fun. I haven't seen that from Damien before and the audience was going wild with laughter. Thanks for all the reports.
As we were away on the weekend so we were unable to attend however I feel like I was actually there with the overall terrific coverage from all the reports on the concert and as well the banter that very few artist can deliver in their shows.
Sounds like to next album will be a little different and I cannot wait for it.
Damien certainly gives you a great nights entertainment package.

Ok wrote a post and somehow lost it! I can't add much more than what has been said other to say that I really enjoyed myself. Damien was in fine form indeed and I enjoyed the variety of songs on the set list. I particularly enjoyed hearing Damien sing in his lower register and highlight the range of his voice. Thank you to Nuffy for the lift home and a very special thank you to the lovely Dawn

Just catching up on these reports. Thanks lovelies. Sounds like D and Eric ended the tour on a high note (pardon the pun.) Wow, Stay and Kiss! Awesome!! His range is better than ever these days, so pleased you guys heard the full gamut. Looking forward to seeing The Parting Glass now, and of course, the new album in the New Year, as are we all.
