All these artists are coming together for one concert – one night only – at the Enmore. That’s over 2.5 hours of great music with a line up unlikely to be seen again.
On the 8th of November 2013, almost one year ago, super-typhoon Haiyan slammed into the Philippines. Wind gusts of 380km/h created a wall of water almost 5m high that swept inland destroying everything in its path.
Those that survived lost everything.
Long-time guitarist for John Paul Young’s Allstar Band, Juan Gonzales was born in the Philippines. When JPY heard of the plight of the survivors, he got straight on the phone to Juan, insisting that something be done to help.
Juan took a trip to the worst affected areas in the Philippines to see for himself and to talk to the locals to ask what help they needed. They need to rebuild homes. They need schools. They need to be able to feed their families – not on hand-outs, but to be self-sufficient.
Their road to recovery needs our help… and we are so empowered to help. So, the best way we know how to help is to throw a huge show, raise as much money as we can, then make sure the money gets to where it’s supposed to go.
And in the spirit of fundraising, you’ll have the chance to win great prizes in the raffles, and the chance to bid on exclusive one-off’s in auctions to raise money to continue the countdown to recovery.
We can make a difference.
