Brian sent me an article from Tuesday's Telegraph which mentioned Damien and had a picture.

Former Hi-5 entertainer Casey Burgess gets into country, just like Miley Cyrus.
FORMER Hi-5 member Casey Burgess is working on her debut album, indicating it will be a mixture of acoustic pop with a country flavour
Known as a children's entertainer. Confidential can reveal Burgess has been writing and producing music at Sydney's Fox Studios. She's also been in the studio with former Australian Idol winner Damien Leith whom she recently met filming a TV pilot.
"I'm writing an album at the moment," Burgess said. "It's definitely acoustic. While I was in Hi-5 I actually sang at (Byron Bay) Bluesfest so I was doing stuff but not stuff that people knew I was doing."

She added: “I’d rather do the album in my own time as opposed to having the pressure of having to turn it around in like two weeks.”

Burgess has also been writing with Gary Pinto and Ryan Coghlan.

The singer said she’d been exploring a country sound.

“I”m into Miley Cyrus,” she said. “Miley is country. I’m into country, you wouldn’t expect it.”


I wonder what the TV pilot was for and whether it will go ahead.
