Known these days as a singer, songwriter, producer, author, playwright and TV personality, Damien will be marking the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre’s 25th anniversary year with his show. He has also published two novels, One More Time in 2007 and Remember June in 2009, and was a finalist on the 2011 series of Dancing with the Stars, showing his diversity in the performing arts area. Tickets are selling quickly to Damien’s show The Parting Glass. The musical involves Damien playing two roles, one of a father, the other of a son, as they try to get to the bottom of a secret that has haunted them both. Hallelujah, Wicked Game and Danny Boy are just some of the songs that will be performed by this versatile performer. ■ For your chance to win two tickets to Damien’s show, email jade.aliprandi@fairfax media.com.au by 9am this Friday with the answer to the following question: ‘‘What was the name of Damien’s debut single?’’ Tickets for the show are $45 adult and $40 concession. There is one show only at 8pm on Saturday, January 17.
