FILMING OF DVD FOR THE PARTING GLASS

After many requests to Damien and him putting the question on Facebook and Twitter whether to do a DVD of The Parting Glass, Damien is going to do it.

It will be filmed at Souths Juniors,

Here are the details of the filming in Sydney at The Juniors in Kingsford at 8pm sharp and if you pre-order the DVD before Oct 12th you'll be entitled to two free tickets, all you need to do is email me your names to [e-mail] and you're in! If you can't make it, they are totally transferable, just make sure you email the names so we can ensure there is enough space for everyone.

A MUST BUY DVD. Damien and the band were in fine form.

The lighting was spectacular and the audience were thoroughly entertained.

What can I say about this? ?

It was slightly different to the normal The Parting Glass show.

There was no interval. It was all done in one straight through performance.

There were a couple of different songs and there was no Galway Bay. Off hand I can't think of another song that missed out. Oh yes, no Without A Fight or Wicked Game.

It was great to hear Lonely Nights.

The lighting looked amazing and it kept zeroing on Eric.

Some of the girls on another table took some brilliant photos so hopefully you will get to see some.

It was nice for Damien and the band to have their family there for such a special occasion.

My guest has seen Damien a few times in concert but had not been available to see The Parting Glass. I kept information about it to a minimum and all she knew was that it was a play with songs. She LOVED it.

I can't wait for my copy to arrive.

It was also lovely to catch up with a lot of other DLO Members that I hadn't seen for a while.

We all felt disappointed for our members who had taken ill or had work commitments and were unable to make it.

Thank you so much for the report Braffy, would have been terrific to be there for this show, bet you had a ball How wonderful to have the show go straight through with that special lighting hehe so Eric was featured and didn't get to hide up the back in a dark corner. Terrific for so many fans and DLOers to catch up

Thanks Braffy I think you have summed it up beautifully. I felt the same sad and disappointed for those that could not make it due to illness or work committments, certainly in our thoughts last night. Lovely to see Damien, Jess and Chris's family all there. I believe Chris Rose was there to but I did not see him. Had a lovely time, feel very humbled to have been able to attend. Certainly need to purchase the DVD all, can't wait till 7/12........

Eric was at the back Dawn, but the lights seemed to beam down on him. There were 3 on different angles.

The lighting was so colourful. It really made the stage look nice.
