He was the surprise winner who beat hot favourite Jessica Mauboy to the Australian Idol crown in 2006.
But while a decade has passed since that triumph, Damien Leith still appeared to be enjoying the good life during an appearance in Sydney on Sunday.
The Irish-Australian singer was joined by wife Eileen Stapleton, their daughter Kikki and sons Jarvis and Jagger during an appearance at the coastal city’s Balmoral Beach.

Sporting a pair of fetching patterned shorts, Dublin born Damien was in high spirits while splashing around in the water with his loved ones.
Evidently keen to make the most of increasingly clement conditions, he was hard to miss as he gamely threw himself off the jetty and into the waist deep water.
With temperatures soaring, the 40-year old singer kept his shirt off after pulling himself out of the ocean ahead of a leisurely stroll along the pier with his swimsuit clad wife.

Splashing out: Sporting a pair of fetching blue shorts, Damien crashed into the water after jumping from the pier
He later took the weight off his feet by stretching out on the sand close to the shoreline while his children played close by.
The singer is braced for a busy few months, with a series of Roy Orbison tribute concerts scheduled to take place in Perth on April 15, Adelaide on April 16 and Sydney suburb Chatswood on April 22.
He's also hinted at the prospect of new music less than a year after releasing eighth album Songs From Ireland last March.

The singer rose to prominence in 2006 after winning the fourth season of Australian Idol with live performances of Never Meant to Fail by Alex Lloyd, Waiting On an Angel by Ben Harper and winner's single Night Of My Life.
He has since worked consistently with a string of albums, singles and regular shows across Australia and Europe.
In the pipeline: Sharing a snap of himself in a modest recording studio decorated with a framed shot of U2 legends Bono and The Edge on Monday morning, he wrote 'First day back in StudioFour - lots happening here over the next while. Exciting. Have a great day guys.'

So glad they've hazed out the kids' faces at least. But have to agree, that D still has his irish suntan 
actually, it is a smart move. With his complexion he'd fry and we don't want him getting any problems with his skin. Eils is gorgeous and a great mum. So lovely to see the family relaxing 
Yeah.....imagine wearing swimming gear to a beach. That's pretty safe there as there's a fenced seawater pool.
