I was fortunate to attend this venue last Saturday evening and see Damien perform a great selection of songs. The full band was there, Eric on Lead guitar, Cesar on Bass, Steve on Drums, Jess on Violin and Darryl on Keyboard, Damien on rhythm of course. Damien looked resplendent in tight black jeans, black patent shoes, black t-shirt and a lovely grey and black jacket, very smart. His voice just seems to get better and better, and his high register notes are strong and pure ** I didn't write a set list but can remember most of the songs which I'll list in no particular order:
Night of my Life 22 Steps Crying Wicked Game Danny Boy Vincent You'll Never Walk Alone ** Bridge over Troubled Water **
Interval
Damien came out on his own and did:-
Hallelujah William Hutton (Claymore)came on stage to do a Scottish vs Irish version of Red is the Rose/You take the High Road (with Jess on Violin) With Willie on the bodran they did Galway Girl Drop the feathers .... exit Willie I drove all night Fame - song from Damien's new album coming out later in the year... AND IT'S A FANTASTIC UP BEAT SONG! Goodnight Encore: Pretty woman, with solos from each band member which went on for a while, fantastic stuff.
Have a feeling I've missed one or two songs, did the best I can.
JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW
