Dear Damien Please don't ever lose your humility....i respect that heaps above your angelic voice. Your reaction to the judges speaks volumes of you...the TV camera is a horrific microscope...we see everything!!! The judges have been destructive and extremely cruel...ahhh but then the Irish race are renowned for their ability to overcome adversity and still keep smiling! ;D The thing that has drawn me to you is your genuine sense of humility. Stay true to it. We adore you and your gorgeous voice.  |

I have to absolutely agree. Combine Damien's humility with his heaven sent voice, creativity and amazing talent and you have the perfect package. I feel we are spoilt with his talents, but I know I respect him as a performer and person for not only his amazing talent, but the way he is such a devoted husband and father and has kept his priorities right throughout this Idol experience. I think his humility and devotion is also a lot of the appeal.

Thats how you communicate each and every song you sing. I admire you for that, because it takes a very special person to be able to do that.
My mum taught me that and I have never forgotten it, and it reminds me so much of you!

Yes Damien u have touched the hearts of many, I soooo admire you, you radiate a warmth & humility that is not often seen in a person, You give me shivers on my shivers when u sing, what a wonderful gift u have, whatever happens, remember this Idol thing is just a stepping stone, win or lose your still a WINNER in our eyes. I wish u all the luck in the world in following your dream, but somehow I dont think u will need it ("wink") DAMIEN LEITH FOR WORLD DOMINATION (this is my catch cry now for all my posts) hahahaha.

I agree with you well!
I thing that Damien has a real gift. Not only the gift of a beautiful voice, but the gift to be able to communicate his voice genuinely across to his audience. It is a rare thing for people to be able to see music coming from the soul. Now that is what his gift and talent is!

p.s... have you guys entered the 'audience choice' competition? What song did you guys choose. Btw, I've already entered. I reckon halelujah, so I cant go back and check. but was there a song on there called "just my imagination running away with me?" I'm listening to the Human Nature CD and that song would really show off that beautiful falsetto. Do any of you guys know if it's there.
Do you guys reckon halelujah was a good choice. I would love to win this competition! Any Ideas?

thanks irishscorpio... I've had a few run-ins over in the idol forums... I do have a very loose tongue on the odd occasion. I wrote that quote for the audience choice competition. I've probably asked this a few times, but does anyone know when its announced. I'm assuming its Monday sure though.
I'm a bit worried, coz i'm on holidays at the moment and am not sure if we'll be back in time. We leave on Sunday.
