Hi Damien, I hope you're still checking in when you get a free minute. I'm a huge fan, well I'm not huge but I just love your voice and everything about you. I want to suggest that you consider singing the song Blue Moon at some stage in the next few weeks. The version of this song I'm referring to is the one sung by the Mavericks in the movie Apollo 13. It is an absolutely beautiful rendition of the song and I know your voice would do it justice. Now I know that the song Blue Moon is an oldie but hey, remember Guy Sebastian singing Climb Every Mountain? He brought the house down and in my opinion that sealed his fate as Australian Idol. After hearing you sing the Chris Isaac classic Wicked Games you totally mesmerized me and I think that is your genre, the Chris Isaac, Roy Orbison, Mavericks style of music. And both the Mavericks and Chris Isaac were heavily influenced by Roy Orbison. I've included the link below if you want to listen to Blue Moon. Ah great - I just listened to the version via your link, very mesmerising and very Damien - he loves all that style of music and is an old soul.. & I don't know if he has heard that version so will email him and let him have a listen! Thanks Mysterri - could a good one up his sleeve! I think next week is a song chosen by the Judges and then one of their own choicews aswell..

Hi Eileen, I'm glad you liked the song and I agree, it is very mesmerizing and very Damien but you'd know that better than me,  The name of the band singing it is The Mavericks and their music is fantastic. I Hope Damien likes it and perhaps gives it some consideration. Next week should be very interesting with one of the song choices by the judges! At this stage Sunday just can't come quick enough for me! I'm just wishing away the days until I can watch Damien sing Hallelujah and Crying, or just sing anything, LOL. I've just checked it again and it seems to be working fine. I agree Neski, next week should be very interesting but I hope that Holden in particular doesn't choose something lame for Damien to sing. I remember Mark Holden in the '70's swanning around in a white suit and carrying a rose singing 'I Want To Make You My Lady'. (YUK!) Yep, I'm that old, LOL. He's got nothing on Damien and he needs to realise that Damien is the best thing that's happened to the Australian music industry for a long, long time! I'll be voting like mad in the coming weeks, I just need another hit of Damien's brilliant voice! Yep, I'm addicted. ;D Mysterri. |

I would love to hear Damien sing that song mysterri, that would be brilliant.
I'm with you there........I hope Mark doesn't choose something lame, it's a worry the judges voting for which song they should sing.
