Ok, I love everything you sing, so I thought I would put my own request in for song choices when you get through after tonight..... I would really like you to sing a Savage Garden song. .....Affirmation, Crash and Burn, basically anything by them..... Also I request......Can you feel the love tongight by Elton John...we played that at our wedding and it is magical and I know you would nail it.. I don't think I am alone in these suggestions, so thought I'd put the suggestion to you..  P.S.......Loved the Wink!  |

Neski's here - I agree....I will say this in an orderly fashion haha..
As you know - huge fan and well have been since I first saw and heard you! You're an amazing persona and an amazing singer...your talent is something I have never seen - You're so different which is so fantastic. Anyway back to the point. Darren Hayes is a legend - its SO wonderful to hear him sing, and I have always wanted sombod to sing one of his or Savage Gardens songs - especially Affirmation.
Ive wanted it but I dont think anyone has been up to standard to sing him before and I believe that you D have the power to pull off him...youre voice - oh well you KNOW how I feel. Anyways...to Elton....Can You Feel The Love Tonight made famous for The Lion King - ohh my hearts a flutter to even imagine you singing this...ohh my oh my!
Damien - if you dont sing these on Idol...I shall give you instructions...sit yourself infront of the computer, bring out the mic, sing into it...save...send to neski ;D *hearts*

I've been a massive SG/Darren fan for 10 years and I would love to hear you sing one of Darren's songs....You are the only person on earth with the vocal ability to match Darren Hayes (in my opinion lol).

Another MASSIVE Darren Hayes fan here - and I have thought a lot about how I would cope if you ever sang a Hayes or SG song - because I think it would be too much for me. The AWE that is inspired every note you sing is massive without adding to that the LOVE and DEVOTION inspired by Darren Hayes music. The combination would be considered LEITHAL and may cause instant heart atttack. So you be careful Damien - you have heard all those girls screaming for DEAN - that would be your fate also.

Hi Damien - it's about time you and I had a word or two!
I agree with Margo. I listen back to your mp3 recordings from the show constantly I am unashamed to say, and I enjoy them in this ratio: 98% transfixed by your voice, which is underrated by any adjective I try to compliment it with, and 2% grinning as I hear girls screaming in adoration. I particularly love listening back to "You are so beautiful" - there is a huge dramatic pause on the 'to' between the high notes on 'beautiful' and 'me' - the only sound in the audience is the mass intake of breath in anticipation.
No offence to you, but if someone had told me, if I had seen you alone and not heard you sing anything, that the 30-year-old with so-called 'tic-tac teeth' was backed by the majority of the young female population of Australia, I would not have believed them. You have a voice that moves us collectively, brings us together, sends us into personal reverie, and vibrates within our souls.
I'm sorry if I come across as overly fanatical, but so many people, both here in the forum and internationally, feel the same way, and there will always be a group of people, teenage, female or otherwise, screaming for you whatever you choose to sing, and where ever your career may take you. I supported you right from the moment I saw you walk into the audition way back when, and while I was sure I supported your winning the competition, I was awed that you touched so many people throughout your Idol journey, and continue to do so. I wish you the best of luck, and hope your music takes you where ever you want to go.

And Neski, wouldn't that be a dream come true to have D sing into a mic and send you your own personal song :-) I would be first in line for a copy lol.
