I now listen to Mix when I am in the car because of you Sunny. You mentioned a while ago that they often play it. Tuned in and the first song I heard was NOML followed by Savage Garden. I was in so much heaven that I rang the station to thank them. The next day the same thing happened except in reverse. I was a happy munchkin.

Well, wouldn't it make more sense to do the followign - rather than stop listenign to 2DayFm, instead, post the link here for everyone to join up to the music survey, and then they can vote with their keypads for NOML if they feel strongly enough aboutit being on the 2DayFM playlist!!
Better to be proactive with positivity rather than react with negativity, IMHO.

Aw, well... who really cares? It's one radio station. Loads of other more credible stations are giving Damien lots of publicity. I'm probably not the right person to have an opinion on this because I don't listen to the radio, of course. But the fact that the 'Rate The Hits' page currently has pictures of Paris Hilton, Beyonce and Dame Edna on it tells me everything I need to know about that station. Doesn't mean I won't sign up and give Damien a friendly push, of course. Thanks for bringing this up - it's nice to know any way we can help. Oh, and Evan... I hope you don't take this the wrong way because I have the utmost respect for you and I know things can come across much more harshly than intended on forums and such, but I wish you wouldn't use such emotive words like 'axed' in relation to stuff like this. When I see something like that, in the time it takes my cranky dial-up to load the thread I get upset and it's hard to respond fairly to a situation in that mindset. This could in no way be interpreted as a slight against Damien - it's the natural order of things in the radio station world. I know you get that because you said as much in your post. I just wouldn't want anyone else to misunderstand you. *feels like a real heel for opening her mouth*

Would have to agree...but thanks for the link dede (and sunshine)...Filling in survey's for 2DAYfm is not my kind of idea of a good way to spend my time...BUT...would consider doing it for D...(not that he really needs it, I don't think...)

I guess I'm rather upset with this particular radio station currently - it was not my intention to unnecessarily upset any of my fellow Damienites. As Dede says, we should all make an effort to ensure radio fully supports Damien's new album.

I think in light of what has happened, there shouldn't be any requests on a mass basis!. If someone wants to request any song, then they should do so without any new threads being started, and if they are wanting anyone to also join in, then maybe it be done by pm. I like that we all want to help D get further with his career, but I also believe that Sony/BMG should be the ones doing any kind of advertising/support. as I said, on an individual basis it's fine, as in Sunshine is already a member, but we need to be very careful we don't ever upset our own DJ's. I know the intention is good, but in the long run it can be very damaging. and lets face it, no artists songs are in the top 20 or 30 charts for too long these days anyway, so eventually, the radio stations will stop playing them as often Damien has had a huge success with NOML and I'm sure his next single will be just as huge

2DAYFM seem to play every Guy & Shannon song you can think of, not just the newer ones. I agree, once Damien has his new music released & out there, the radio airplay should pick up again. And, TWJ is still selling so well and there is lots of excitement about the upcoming live shows and Damo's TV appearaces, so it probably doesn't matter if one particular radio station won't give him much airplay.
