omg..THE EMOTIONS THAT NIGHT!! I will NEVER forget it!! I wanted to run through the streets shouting for joy!! I also wanted to have a celebratory drink with every wonderful Damien supporter I had spoken to, here and on the Idol boards.. WHAT A YEAR!!! |

Yep, Damien certainly won my heart a year ago and now look at our gorgeous man!  I'm very interested to know if Caplice Management will still be looking after him and is Sony BMG have re-signed him. |

lol Dawn, sorry about that Trilly I am still remembering dancing with total strangers (Irish tourists) that night in the public area of the Opera House - after they finally believed me that he won, they were telling me not to be shy and were swinging me around and around and we took photos next to their little "Damien" flags that were given out around the place that night. What a night - I was right beside the harbour and seeing all the twinkly lights and just thinking OMG!!! It really happened!  |

That was such a fantastic night. This forum was buzzing, shares in Kleenex went up. A lot of very happy people around. I still get goosebumps when I look at the footage. The Night Of My Life - sure was. ;D  |

Thought you'd pull out the winning thread didn't yall. Lol. I was sitting there last night thinking OMG it's been a year already - wow, last year it was all going off on this night. And when Andrew G and James said 'and the winner of Australian Idol 2007 is ....' I called out Damien's name (although i also picked out Nats - god my theory works bwahahaha) and then remembered, he can't win two years in a row ... lol.

Yep. He's still THE winner. What a great year it was... and now to new adventures. I'm happy to tag along. With Damien widening his network it's so interesting to think of where he'll pop up next and what he'll do as the next project. I'm glad he's not a one-dimensional, boring person - otherwise I wouldn't be here  Damien's definitely paving his own future - something the Idol tag doesn't guarantee.  |
