I think we would all like same minded people on here.................and peace on earth, and no financial worries. The world isn't perfect unfortunately.

I don't really mind, as long as they don't spam other threads (like threads about Damien, etc) with information no one cares about.
If they want to waste their time going on the forum simply to play the games, then that's their problem. It's convenient for any Damienites who want to post in threads about D, and also play the games, because then they have someone to play with.
If someone wants to promote another artist besides Damien, as long as they do it in the relevant threads, then it's fine because you don't have to read it if you aren't interested. (Although I guess that does make it difficult for mods to do their job because they then have to check those threads to make sure the rules are being followed.)
But anyway, I reckon that as long as they aren't making so many pointless posts that the board runs slowly, it should be acceptable.
We wouldn't want to get a reputation as unwelcoming, because that might make real fans of Damien too intimidated to join in.
And also, does Damien kick people out of his concerts who are rude and/or clearly don't like him? No, he just concentrates on putting on a good show for the people that DO like him. So in a similar way, we should just make this forum a nice place for the real fans, and ignore people who waste their time coming here because they don't even like D.

I understand completely what you are saying Smiley, and agree. However, I think Spud has put forward a very good and well thought out reply - unless they make trouble, just go with the flow.

I'm on my mum's super-slow computer and when I logged in a little while agoI was able to read a new pm... but then, when I opened the home page it wouldn't give me access to the members areas and asked me log on. The problem is that it showed me as already logged on! This has happened before and once I check my pm I can't use the account unless I log on again. I just think that's strange... I'd hate to get locked out! Why does it do that?

Nuffy, maybe you were still logged in from last time. But then once you moved from that area you were then offline and need to log in again.

Nuffy, unfortunately it has happened to me before as well, not for quite some time but occasionally it does. I really don't have any way to explain it and have tried to find a reason but as of now I have not been able to. Sorry.

Thanks Braffy and Neski. I remember now, others mentioning something similar. It was just strange seeing myself logged on but not able to access any of the member areas. Another mystery of the world!

Here we go again... It's really funny (not!) seeing myself logged on but unable to access anything on the members side. nuffy

Oh Nuffy, I presume you are still locked out? sorry I just saw this post I've been told that if you click on the "white" login button on the top page and sign in from there you should be able to log back in. (Thinks this is right?)

(Thinks this is right?) When this happens to me Rox yep, I click on the white login then I see the "Hey Trilly" message and know that I don't have to login again. Then I click the "home" page button and the whole forum is accessible again. Hope this helps, Nuffy,

Hi there Just wondering if the mods might like to consider an idea I was just thinking about - would it perhaps be possible to have a separate sub-forum for all Damien's books and written articles? With writing such a major part of his work alongside his music, was thinking it would be fantastic to have the threads for the One More Time and Remember June, and his Punch columns, all in one place. Hope you like the idea Was also thinking now the book is on sale the Remember June reviews will be starting too, perhaps we might need a special spoilers thread like last time for One More Time?

Thanks Shims, it's always great to have ideas offered I was also thinking we needed a thread for the book review with a spoiler alert. I'll get that started in about an hour, unless you are on and can start it before I get back here. As for the sub-forum, the only prob with that is it may get lost? it would be above the main boards. I have an idea though, and will get back to you about it ok ;D
