dededom (waves) we must have walked passt eachother lol...actually I ran out at lunch and rushed to HMV in Pitt Street to purchase my own copy. I was in a big hurry and I knew they'd have a copy at least...am making plans to maybe get another copy (one for work and all). It's actually not badly priced at all either.

Superstar Damien's Crying sounds sublime on the CD. I am playing it in the cafe we have for participants at work and everyone is asking me who it is, saying how much they love it!

I hope "Crying" sounds good on the CD - I loved Damien's version on Idol. It does! At first it's a bit echoey, but by the first 30 seconds I was listening to it standing in front of my stereo with my eyes closed, getting cold shivers up my spine and nearly falling over!  |

mine is all booked and payed for but they wont give it to me til saturday. i cant get into town on saturday so i have given my mum the receipt along with strict instructions on where to go and what to do! i have told her to bring it around as soon as she has it in her hands.

Oh if only they had let him re-record it in the studio *sob* If only...*joins in sobs* You know, if they made all the other idols do an album within two weeks, why didn't they get Damo to rerecord all the tunes he did on idol in the two week period? It's what everyone has been asking for: "Dear Damo, can you put Wicked Game on your CD?", "Dear Damo, can you put Crying on your CD?"...I think I've seen an email request for every single song he did...well, maybe not celebration, but just about everything else,... |

Looking forward to getting my copy on Saturday - scoured the stores in Garden City (Perth) today, but no sign of Damien - only the singles! How come www.behindidol.com could make brilliant quality digital downloads, but it sounds like the songs on this cd aren't that clear? It doesn't really make sense! I'm really looking forward to seeing the DVD as I have all of his songs from behindidol and have enjoyed them for weeks. |

I've been relistening in the car with the sound UP LOUD and I've noticed the following (a) Creep has been re-recorded. Damien isn't sharp anymore in the second big "Running" near the end (b) there is a very prominent echo put on his voice in Crying (c) Wicked game is basically ruined by the fading in and out of the sound between the acapella part and what follows (d) inexplicably, the very last "hallelujah" in the song of the same name is very quiet - almost like he has wandered off the stage. |

On the upside (I'm at home now watching the DVD) it is absolute Heaven to be able to watch each song one after the other without all the other contestants and judges comments to interrupt. It makes you realise how impressive he is.

I want to have this even more now. I'm intrigued by this audio twiddling. Will be holding onto my other mp3s for now just in case, and if the differences are that significant I may end up keeping them as an 'alternate' set of tracks.
Incidentally, how is the sound on the DVD? *is having interesting thoughts*

"Judges choice" instead of "Judges' choice" "Waiting for an angel" instead of "Waiting on an Angel" etc |
