Well team, delighted to report that I have sitting here on my desk the new CD/DVD. ;D The only bad news I have to report is that after trudging up and down the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney, the only place that was stocking it was HMV which is not an ARIA accredited store.  BUT I promise to buy 2 extra just to sit on the shelf from an ARIA accredited store to make up for it (in addition to all the ones I plan to buy as Xmas presents). Note about the HMV display - huge display as you walk in - smack bang in front of you - looks like just put on the shelves, adn people were walking in behind me and as I walked out and taking ones. And a big display of them at the checkouts - so all good (if not necessarily for the ARIA rating  ) |

I'm listening to the CD now. First two (NOML, Come to Me) being studio produced sound excellent ... but the sound balance on the live versions (listened to Crying and Wicked Game so far) is a bit ... iffy. But his voice is just .... delicious on those songs, so I forgive him (if not Sony).

How did you get it? *wails* I've just been all over Bondi Junction and nobody had it. It's not supposed to be out until Saturday. Maybe because in wasn't an ARIA accredited store. |

Oh my *swoons* I am up to Unchained Melody ....  Indeed, maybe the ARIA accredited are being told to hold back till Saturday, so that he gets a full week's sales calculated to the Album ARIA charts the following weekend (that's what I would do if I was in charge) (hint!) |

Oh I've just realised why Wicked Game sounds so weird - they have tried to master out all that "clapping in time" by the audience which happened in the first verse.
Oh if only they had let him re-record it in the studio *sob*

You are so lucky. I searched four stores today and none of them had it stocked yet here in Adelaide, apparently I have to wait until Saturday. I hate having to be so patient lol. Dede that's a pity the beginning of Wicked Game isn't up to standard.

I don't have a problem with the live tracks from Idol being remastered, but I'd hate to think the audience noise has been cut out of them completely. Those who have heard the whole CD: please give us a review! |
