I knew as soon as he got home they would get him on the Late Late. I tried to sweettalk my boss into giving me the night off work so i could look for tickets to go to it but he said no.... Stupid people going out on Friday night when D's on the tv, if they stayed at home and watched him i wouldn't have to go to work. I hate my job and my boss for not letting me off {ok don't hate my boss that much, he could be in here checking up on me } ** I'm off to huff in the corner and start praying that he'll be doing some kind of signings around the country while he's here**

Hey Shims, You would think i would be able to find something to go to but my stupid options are limited because i work night and as it is our busiest time of year it's even harder than normal to get time off..... But fingers crossed he does some sort of single signings or something like that and i will be there {even if it means working all night and getting straight onto a bus to Dublin to get to it}

*squees* Even if it's such a long way away for most of us, it's still thrilling to hear about Damien getting some good publicity opportunities, isn't it? *also has fingers crossed that Michelle gets to meet him*

Dede have you been reading my mind or something? I've been thinking about this, ever since D told me he was going home for Christmas (he told me when I met him at Blacktown after I told him my dad was raised in Kildare- we're from Dublin). Though I'd have preferred Gay Byrne (the man who hosted it from the beginning up until a few years ago when he retired. No idea what Pat's like, but it's just not the same without: Big owl come flying onto your screen, voice over saying "ladies and gentleman to whom it concerns, it's the late late show with your host Gay Byrne". Actually I wonder if he'll catch the attention of Parkie as well... brilliant, just brilliant. Thank you xxx

PS: the Late Late show is the longest running chat show in the world. It's brilliant. The Late Late show is the longest running chat show, and Coronation street is the longest running soap. There ya go for all you trivia buffs xx

Taken from the site just FYI: The Late Late Show A Short History
The Late Late Show is Ireland's most popular and prestigious television show and is the longest running chat show in the world.
Originally conceived as a short filler programme for the summer schedule in 1962 on the then fledgling Irish broadcaster Telefís Éireann, The Late Late Show has gone on to become an Irish institution and today is still the most popular programme on television in Ireland.
The Late Late Show is a unique concept in the television world, offering a two hour live show each Friday from September to May comprising a mix of some of the biggest celebrities the world has to offer, mixed with uniquely Irish stories, people and talking points of the day.
A glance at the past guest list reads like a who's who of contemporary history: Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Oliver Reid, Elton John, U2, President Mary Robinson, Colin Farrell, Bishop Eamon Casey, Peter Sellers, Bob Geldof, Jack Charlton, President Mary McAleese, Jerry Springer, Graham Norton, Cliff Richard, Sonia O'Sullivan, Rod Stewart, Roy Keane…. the list goes on and on.
Pat Kenny became host of The Late Late Show in September 1999, taking over from Gay Byrne. Gay was the programme's first presenter in 1962, and apart from one season when Frank Hall presented the show while Gay worked with the BBC, it was a continuous run of almost 37 years.
The Late Late Show has consistently generated 'TV magic' down through the years whether it was launching careers like pop band Boyzone or capturing the mood of a nation such as The Late Late Show specials to mark September 11th or the Omagh bombing.

Sounds a bit like Enough Rope.
