I'm not sure how serious you are, but if you do decide to come don't book anything like flights or accommodation yet cos there might be another gig. There is meant to be a second concert that noone knows about yet. Hoping to hear about this one soon, although that's what I was saying 2 weeks ago and no news yet.

At least Crushangel your speculation of a second concert comes from a good source - Damien himself, eh!

Ok, this is confusing - I have been talking to DH about having a whirlwind trip to Hobart for this concert and now there might be another? I have been pricing flights and accommodation. How sure are we of another?

Well... I was right when I thought he'd be coming to Wrest Point... if I turn out to be right about the venue for this second appearance I'll start hiring myself out for parties.

My wild guess for the other appearance, since it's supposed to be 'a church' of some kind, is St David's Cathedral... mostly because I have a certain fondness for the place, I think. But I've been looking out on the way to uni every day, and there are a lot more churches in Hobart.

My DH is torn between the fun of a weekend away (although he has been to Hobart for a conference and says he would like to do a more leisurely trip with me) and the cost. All up it is likely to be about $900, which is a lot for a weekend and a concert - but then it is a one off chance too. Poor bugger Where is the cathedral? I am looking at accommodation. It is reasonably cheap to stay at the Wrest Pt motor inn and be right on the premises so to speak.

If the other appearance really is at 'a church in Hobart', wherever it is, it shouldn't be too hard to get there if you're staying around Wrest Point. There's a bus that picks up right in front of Wrest Point and it's twenty minutes to get into town at most (it's probably a lot quicker actually - I've only gone that way as a round trip so I can't recall). St David's is just up the street from where the bus stops. A couple of other likely churches are not too far off as well. *has thought about all of these details way too much*
