It is very lyrical and really showcases his voice. Slow style. Not very commercial but sounds very loverly.
it's a love song really, laid back, easy going.

Ok - we have just compared notes
I said that on the Show tonight there was a clip of Damien singing a phrase "if I was him I'd know your birthday" (or words to that effect) and they say that is the same song!

More comparing of notes- I tend to agree with most of the Tassie girls that 22 steps is a better album track than a single, even though it sounds like it might be a better song than Beautiful.

Gah!! Kath there are about 3 secret forums  - *runs like a loon trying to find secrets!!!* ooooooo! Beautiful!!!!!!!!! Wow this song sounds so exciting - what beautiful words - it sounds a bit like one of those angsty love songs maybe? How wonderful!! OMG - someone yelled out "Get your shirt off" during Nessun Dorma!!!! - I have no words!!! Don't know whether to laugh or cry, lol. |

If you're over the moon then I'm... somewhere else altogether! I think I was a complete dork when he actually talked to me, but that's okay.  Oh, and the Nessun Dorma thing, while it was highly inappropriate and I would have totally killed that person if I'd been standing next to her, was pretty funny. My sister has a video of most of the song, so we're hoping she got his reaction to the shirt comment on there. There were a whole bunch of us standing right in front of the stage as he sang it, so we got to hear those notes really close up.  |

Nessun Dorma in person is something else isn't it! I know how you feel, you'd be mad at that person for yelling out, but it's just so insane to do it during that song that Damien's reaction trying not to laugh would really be a sight!
Oh Kami - we can't wait to hear all about your meeting! I'll head over to the secret forum!

As the champagne wears off the memory is coming back -------- on stage Damo mentioned Celebration from Idol and how all he managed to do that week was lose weight from the dancing around --- so he was going to bring out a workout video --- all the work out routines would be done to the music of "Celebration".
You would swear he has spent a lot of time here!!!!

Love his sense of humour. I think he may have been reading the Care Committee thread. If he ever mentions an inflatible limbo stick, we'll know for sure that he has.
