Ioan & D....shall be an unforgettable night ! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE indeed!

From this morning's Advertiser:
"While you're kicking back on your couch in your trackies watching Sunday night's Logies, spare a thought for the invited who will be doing it a bit tough. Logie nominees and presenters will receive gift bags, including pearl and silver bracelets, suede slippers, lizard leather coin purses, five star spa treatments, make up and hair care products and more. They'll also enjoy three chocolate fountains - one white, one milk and one orange - with more than 250 kg of chocolate being used. Oh, and they'll knock back more than 960 bottles of champagne. Tough life for some, huh?"
Do singers get this too??

I hope so kath, Re the chocolate fountain/s is there a message there somewhere.....half of the lady presenters probably haven't eaten in a week, so they can squeeze into their frocks! Hope D gets one of those gift bags, I'm sure he would. Can just see him in the suede slippers, Eils with the spa and makeup treatments.....and Jarvis with the chocolate fountain!! Perfect gift for the family

I usually avoid the Logies, but I'll watch tonight, just to see our boy do his stuff. Am I right that he's singing a new song tonight? ;D

Hey sunshine, word has it that he's singing "a special tribute"...popular thinking is that it will either be for Belinda Emmett, Steve Irwin or Billy Thorpe...but who knows! Just caught this snarky article in the age this morning...not sure if D is mentioned enough to warrant a post to the media section, but it made me smile. The basic gist of the article is the writer hoping for some appallingly embarrassing moments from the Logies tonight in order to make it entertaining (oooooooooo soooo snarky! ) And heres what they had to say re: the musical talent.. Some of us even crave a return to those musical extravaganzas, such as the Neighbours all-star ensemble of 2002, or the Dannii-Bec-Sophie shemozzle of 2003. (This year's marquee entertainers - Avril Lavigne, James Morrison and Damien Leith - are all disappointingly high-quality.) All I know about Damien's performance was that it was going to be "special"......

The last thing we'll get tonight is an embarrassing musical performance! Damien, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne: all should be great, especially Damo. ;D

Waiting in line at the supermarket this morning I picked up the TV week, and they had a small pic of Damien in his blue shirt belting one out. Not big enough to warrant buying the mag, but still nice But on the ad on the radio, it said musical performances by Avril L and James Morrison and didn't mention D

I guess they didn't mention Damien because he is doing a special tribute by request, and not there to promote himself? :-\ It is annoying though because a lot of people who would enjoy his performance will probably not see it if they don't advertise him.

Amen, sister! and lurrve the "disappointingly high quality" quip! ..I must admit, I dislike the whole concept of the Logies. I would muchrather a peer to peer awards system, like the Oscars, however, the train wrecks can be amusing!.This year, though, yay! a reason to watch and enjoy!..*wish I could be there, cos he's here*
