The lyrics are one thing but to hear Jeff's beautiful voice singing this - is something else again. Can just imagine if Damien sang this that he would do such a divine version

Gen supported Mark Wilkinson at the Bar Me gig a few weeks back. She sounds a bit like Joni Mitchell. Mark and Gen sing a duet - it is on her site. Gen will be singing at the Buckley tribute and is hoping to be doing something with Damien... maybe.

irishscorpio - there's normally two held each year, a small one around the anniversary of his death at somewhere like The Sandringham or The Cat & Fiddle, and then a big one around his birthday at The Basement. This year they're putting on a bigger one to mark the 10th anniversary of his death at Manning Bar because it has about twice the capacity of The Basement.

There'll also be a house band with I think:

Guitars - Rex Goh (Savage Garden, Air Supply, Daryl Braithwaite, Wendy Matthews, Gina Jeffries, Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano, and a host of others)
Bass - Steve Bull (Icehouse),
Keys - Mark Palmer (The Hipstones)
Drums - Jon Howell (Leonardo's Bride)

It's starting earlier than usual - 6pm - because there's going to be a screening of a Jeff Buckley documentary which is being released the week before called 'Amazing Grace'.

It should be a fantastic night!
