I hope Damien is on Rove's show soon, when the new single is released.   ..I would be very surprised if he wasn't, Sunshine, after that lovely lovely job... *can't wait for Jo to put it up...*! |

Well, I'll try my fourth post now. Hope this one comes through. Can't really add much more, I don't really have a lot of words to express anyway - it was fabulous. I think it's Angela's favourite for Damien to sing too.
I wonder if Damien will manage to get back to Sydney tonight or if it's too late.

Bugger, computer recording didn't work. It said it was recording the whole time but it only played the last minute and a half when I watched it.  I don't even remember what Damien was wearing, they didn't really show him much. It was more concentrated on the actors, but with this really nice Damien sound in the background. |

I found it really hard to concentrate on him... not that he was any less hot than usual, just as i ssaid before... for once i didnt drool, i was just so touched and honoured that our idol was asked to do it. ummm but i know he had some sort of white runners on!!! agreed...he wasnt the focus of that section of the ceremony...but so essential to it. And it wasnt even that it was just about his voice, as it wasnt...it was more of an atmosphere and a feeling that he created.... I guess they knew he would be able to create the atmosphere they wanted us to feel. I found it so great that i could really concentrate on his voice and know that he wouldnt have just been sitting up there singing, i am certain that damien would have got himself into the moment aswell since it was such an important thing to be part of. |

It was so beautiful, I got teary. I always do in that segment anyway, but this was a really sad one.
Oh, Damien was perfect for this, and so was the song. Just wonderful - he really is the best.

Singles sales have just been multiplied by heaps after that. Well, they will be multiplied when the single is finally released. In the meantime, I'll be rewatching WOAA.

I am feeling prouder of him now than i ever have before. To me this was the ultimate performance... not that it was the most important, just that it was the most honourable and heartfelt... its one that had to come from his heart otherwise it wouldnt have worked
