I think we all wish we could sit at a table in an old pub with him and just chat away for hours!!  that must be the dream of the Damienite!!  That's my dream too Roxy!!! Let's hope it happens for all of us one day!! So excited for you that you got to see him and meet him again Kris, did you get him in the death grip again?!!?? I'm sure you did! I don't think we've ever had this many members in the  all at the one time!!! Could be dangerous!! |

I agree Tina - Mysterri has an ambulance on standby in the DLCC thread if we need it  There's so many of us in the at once - this forum is not going to in a for a while - I wonder if anyone can tell the difference though And lol how funny Braffy If anyone's squees could crash the forum it would be Kris's Yes, it would be a dream to have a pub get-together with everyone there! |

I'm baaack! Wow!!! What a day we had!!  As Nixter, Jenny and KLD said, it was the most glorious music!!Damien sang sooo beautifully!!!He received massive applause and was treated with great respect by the other soloists who seemed to be having a wonderful time too! ;D Truly a once -in a lifetime experience, in the huge Melbourne Town Hall with it's massive pipe organ, 150 choristers, philharmonic orchestra, sweet tenor Roy Best,( the chap who won Opperatunity)and soprano Jessica O'Bryan. Fabulous diverse program...a mix of traditional songs, hymns and folk songs. Just magic! ;D |

When I spoke to Damien afterwards, he said his favourite of these is Carrickfergus. I thought The Fields of Athenrye also was absolutely heartbreakingly lovely, as well as the Bright Blue Rose. The thing that amazes me most, even more than his gloriously rich and beautiful voice, each time I hear him sing live, is his superb, absolutely truthful delivery. You believe every word Damien sings.  |

We were last in the line again and D was really generous with his time and chatted to us for quitea bit..we tried not to keep him too long though.He was pretty tired tonight, but just as lovely as ever. ...*siiiigh* more in Fan Encounters soon..  |
