It has just been on now. Great interview. What is it with Kyle? He hasn't heard the song before? What was he doing when Damien sang on Idol? Now they have recognised that 2Day FM hasn't been playing it.
GET OFF YOUR BUMS AND PLAY IT.....WE HAVE BEEN REQUESTING IT FOR AGES.

Performance was great  (as usual) - how does he manage to hit those high notes so early in the morning  The interview was way too short and patronising for my liking. "wow what a great song - how come we haven't heard that one before...." puleeeeeease  They did talk a little about how songs get onto playlists. Said that it may not have been picked up because he was competing with James Blunt who has a similar style. Kyle then said that nobody likes James Blunt anymore. Yet is the next ad break guess who they said will be on tomorrow morning - yep James Blunt . They asked him how the book was going and what it was about. Jackie started to ask D about his OCD but Kyle jumped in and cut her off and the interview was wrapped up way too fast Oh well - we can only hope that AIWIY does start getting more airplay soon. Off to watch the video  |

I was in class...  but I'm glad some of you guys caught it, and it sounds like Kyle is... as much of a genius as ever. And Damien is seriously not that much like James Blunt - they are two totally different distinctive voices. Anyway, by that logic there would be a whole lot less rap artists getting attention since the popular stuff is 90% the same crap rehashed. *ahem* But that's a whole other rant. Nice to hear that Damien might actually start getting some more airplay now!  |

It's up on the website now - I listened, but the song was not included I think Kyle was saying he hadn't heard it played on the station before, not saying he had generally not heard it. Maybe. PS: I listen to Triple R public radio station, and secondly to Triple J. So I am never likely to hear the single played. I would like to hear some of the album tracks played there. |
