Sydney's Inner West is the hub of Australian Idol Ok so maybe I am exaggerating however, tonight Jacob Butler will be playing at the Sandringham Hotel on King St, Newtown which could be interesting if you like Brit Pop. Apparently he is going back to his job at JB Hi Fi, no wonder he was so desperate to win. Tomorrow night, Thursday last years winner Damien Leith will be making an appearance down at Marrickville Metro (my spiritual homeland) from 5.00pm. |

ah, I just saw that alert too!!! Wow, how nice would this event be!  I would so love to have gone but can't make this one  , I hope someone from the forum can be there to tell us all about it |

Thanks for the bulletin, Roxy.  I'd love to head there. I rang the centre to get more information. The girl answering the phone was a little dim... didn't know much about anything and asked me to "repeat who was playing" ...Damien Leith. "Uh... Is that a band or something?" hmmm... You know, Australian Idol? "Oh yeah" (light's now on...)  Tomorrow evening - just outside Kmart (near Michel's Patisserie)
5pm - 6pm Damien will be singing a couple of songs and signing the baubles.Hopefully he will also sell some Christmas cd’s. Who or what is alerting you? Myst you can set alerts on your internet browser for certain topics ie Damien Leith. It will then send you emails if something is posted with the name in a posting. Well thats how I believe it works. www.google.com/alerts?hl=en |

Unfortunately it's too far from Wollongong to come up at that time of the day. I would have loved to though.
