I consider rendition as a form of version. 22 Steps is Damien's version of the song.

I was listening to this album on my Ipod today. Sometimes I skip over songs, and go to my faves, but today I listened to all of it....and I have to say, Alone is still my favourite, I just adore that song!  I still miss Us is a close 2nd at the moment though, followed by Long way Back and Shine like the Sun. I can honestly say, the only song I am not fond of on this album is Danny Boy. And...that is nothing to do with Damien's beautiful vocals, I am just not a fan of that song (sorry to those that are, including Damien).   |

I have to say that my favourite songs on this album are definitely ALONE SHINE LIKE THE SUN COLD COLD BEER ooopppss I mean COLD COLD HEART  Just devine all of them. The whole album is fabulous but these are my favs. |

They were the songs that grabbed me the most when I first heard WWL and continue to be my faves. I actually cried when I heard both of them. I guess most of us can relate to them in some way  |

Make that 4!! ISMU is also one of my favourites on the WWL album, along with Alone! They are both currently on my iPod!

Isn't that interesting - I love ISMU (although I have never been through a break up, married my boyfriend from age 15, married 29 years this Dec) but usually skip over Alone.....

Listened to WWL last night again for the first time in absolutely ages.. I have no idea why I didn't listen for so long, it's just fantastic ;D
Favourites are still ISMU, Shine Like The Sun and Cold Cold Heart!

Braffy, that happened to me about a month ago. I was out late night shopping with Dale and the kids and I took Holly to the bathroom and 22 Steps came on while she was on the err....toilet.....and she was yelling out "IT'S DAMIEN" so loud that Dale could hear her outside where he was waiting!  |

Well I've always thought of it as a cover, because it's still someone else's song, even though it hasn't been released. I guess rendition works, but I think of rendition and cover as the same thing. It's Damien's interpretation of another writer's song, in my book, spud. Rendition works just as well, although that tends to mean one particular performance. My faves have always been Alone and Beautiful, with I Still Miss Us and SLTS close runners-up. I, too, have a little break now and then from D's music, then when I listen again, I'm always gobsmacked by how lovely they are, every time |

My favourites are Cold Cold Heart and Alone. I also really like AIWIY and Beautiful. When Saving Kids was on and I used to hear NJFTW all the time, that was up with my favourites too. Haven't listened to it recently though.
