You heard it here first folks. Seriously though, thanks for your review of the album ODT. I can't say that I necessarily agree with everything you say but it's always good to hear what others think of the album. 22 Steps is not a great favourite of mine and I find that I'm now tending to skip it and begin the album with AIWIY. I do agree with you that Song For Jarvis should have been included on the album.

I’m reviewing this purely as a fan of Damien’s music so you’ll not find any DAMO IS HAAAAAWT! Comments here. Aww, but he is. I sometimes play the album with the intention of skipping 22 Steps because I've heard it so many times, but when the song starts I remember how much I like it and I just keep listening to it. ;D

I still love listening to the whole Where We Land album everyday, my favourite song has to be Beautiful with Cold Cold Heart following close behind it, after seeing the concerts I would love for Damien to bring out a live version CD of all of his songs old & new. I can't wait to hear his next album. Its going to be awesome.

Cool Braffy. How come? Through the Sunday Telegraph 'Sony Hits and Stars' competition. From memory, you had a choice of artists and you had to text a name and your details to a number,. Of course I put DAMIEN . That was quite a while ago. I had forgotten about it so it was a lovely surprise to receive it in the mail. ;D

I listened to 22 Steps the other day and only noticed for the first time the siren type instrument going "doo doo dee doo" over and over throughout the whole song in the background. Sounds cool.

I have been listening to this album again today, after listening to CTW pretty much exclusively for a while now. It is like visiting an old friend!! I just love this album, I guess because Damien wrote the songs, there is the feeling of insight into his heart and mind. Alone is really a standout for me (did he sing this one at any recent concerts??) and Beautiful..... is it really too late to release this as a single?? Love it!!

Damien's rendition of each song on CTW is exquisite, his pure and beautiful voice and his arrangement of each track is fantastic but when I listened to WWL again the other day it really brought it home to me what a talented musician he is. For someone to be able to write songs of this calibre and to deliver them the way he does is absolutely brilliant. And yes, it was like visiting an old friend.
