Hi Mysterri!! It really makes me look forward to his next album of original music, as I can only imagine that it will be even better and more mature than WWL. But you are right, he is a talented musician and song writer, and that is what really shines thru on WWL, and his voice is just divine of course!

So true about meeting a wonderful old friend Tina, with the WWL album. I've been doing the same since I went to Damien's last concert and he sang some of his original songs. I love mixing up a playlist on the computer with his 3 albums. Beautiful is still my favourite.

Funny you should mention WWL ... it's in my player as we speak, blasting glorious tunes for me to sing to. At the moment it's Shine Like The Sun. I love it!
WWL, even though it isn't D's current album, still holds a place in my heart. The music is just so gorgeous and flowing. They're catchy and easy to get used to. I can remember when I first bought it, when I was still in the shop I took out the song book and tried to guess the melody's and tunes of the songs from the lyrics and I was wrong on quite a few but I wasn't dissappointed haha. They're gorgeous.

I am SO with you guys about WWL. I can still remember the first day I bought it, I immediately put it in the cars CD player and just sat in the carpark listening. AIWIY at first listening just stunned me: I actually sat there with a tear in my eye listening to it, it was so beautiful. I REALLY hope that with the next album we have an equally stunning song that comes out as the Single. (I have to say it, I mostly too also fast forward over 22 Steps ) Damien's own songs are just so filled with feeling, they really reflect so much of who he is...I just love them! I have been listening pretty solidly to CTW, but listening to WWL again the other day was like hearing it for the first time...wonderful. AIWIY, Beautiful, Alone, and The Long Way Back are my personal favourites...love the rocky kick of The Long Way Back! I can hardly wait for another album, Damien, so there will be another one to go into the playlist:)

Long story... i rediscovered my Ipod and good headphones today and you know i only have 5 artists on it.. one being Damien of course.
Anyway i played Where we Land with my ultra clear Phillips headphones given to me as a present some while ago and im in love again with Damien's creativity and superb singer-songwriter skills.
How can anyone live without Damien music in their lives?
and... HE MUST SING SONGBIRD during the next phase of his Catch the Wind Tour.. i forgot how good it was.
Cheers

It is just an amazing album. He is just so versatile the guy can sing anything really. Just can't wait for another album, like you all.

I had a Damien Day yesterday I hadn't listened to any older stuff in AGES and I had my iPod on shuffle and SLTS came on - When I heard that, I had to listen to all of WWL (twice ;D) and then I decided to listen to TWJ. I had forgotten how much I loved D's Idol performances, Nessun Dorma especially - Goosebumps!

Tarapanda, to post links, either type text to click (so that the web page opens in a new window), or [link=web page address]text to click[/link] (so that the web page opens in the current window).
It also works if you just copy and paste the link into your post.
