Can somebody please pass the tissues? I've still got tears from Damo's two brilliant performances. I can't believe it ....... even my hubby who never cries turned to me in tears in Nessun Dorma! Damo is brilliant beyond brilliant. I can't even find the words to describe his talent. He just lifts me up to a place I've never been before and every week he gets better and I honestly didn't think that was possible because he has been brilliant every week. He gets a touchdown from me as well. I hope he ignores Kyle Cranky Pants comments - Kyle Cranky Pants doesn't know what he's talking about!!!!

I actually really liked Dean's performances tonight, but the fuss made over his touchdown compared to Damien's was ridiculous. And that's all I'm going to say about that because I like Dean a lot and would rather focus on the brilliance of Damien's performance tonight.

I'm so relieved after hearing Nessum Dorma - I've been on tenderhooks wondering if he'd pull it off and from the look of it, he was too! I think my mum was crying after it, but she was hiding it because she's been on my case about the "Damien obsession"...
I'm not obsessed, I just have a pair of ears in working order! What can I say, credit where it's due! So what if I'm enthusiastic...

God his voice is sooo exquisite! But I friggin missed about the first minute of Damien's Nessun cause bloody hubby had the tv on another channel!!!!!

How does he do it, outdoing himself yet again, Damien your voice is truly heaven sent, beyond anything human, and excuse me Kyle, but I would love to hear that opera song on Damo's first album, r u joking, doesnt matter what the bloody hell he sings its PERFECTION PERSONIFIED.

Now lets get to the rest, poor little Jess, bless her (far outshines the Diva's) I am afraid Mark just put the last nail in the coffin for the poor girl, he has his own agenda, get Dean to the Opera House at all costs. It was pathetic when he said about the Sony BMG Manager, my sister has a theory, the judges & show have had the hard word put on them, THEY WANT DEAN and thats it, he will make them thousands, it doesnt matter that his voice is very very mediocre, it makes me sooooooo cross, Jess deserves to be there with Damien.

Back to the man of the minute our Damo, Ive said it before, this beautiful man is going places, places that Dean would never dream of going.

DAMIEN U R AN ABSOLUTE SUPERSTAR, and did u see his face at the end of the first song, bless his cotton socks, it was priceless.

The show is just finishing in Queensland. Some bloke called Dean is singing something or other. Anyway, I'm speechless after Damien's performances. All I can say at the the moment is "D MAN IS MAGNIFICENT!!!!!"

There's a discussion gonig on about the rest of the show in the other thread too, in the Oz Idols discussion forum And yes, all this 'countdown to a touchdown' business as a last word to remember the evening by left me very cold...

Damien was outstanding tonight with Nessun Dorma! He owned it. I knew he had it in him, but to hear the power and the emotion in that brilliant voice.. wow!

I thought Unchained Melody was beautiful too! Should have got a touchdown, but I guess Nessun Dorma is a hard act to follow!

I was a bit surprised with the whole 'countdown' fuss too. Dean was singing better this week than he has been, but Damien is still leagues ahead of the others in vocal ability. I don't like to think about it, but it does appear that there is an 'agenda' going on there.

But as I said, I don't like to think about it, I'd rather think about the amazing performances of Damien. Beautiful!

I was awfully upset by the whole 'Dean countdown thing'. Plus how can Kyle ask what Damien's going to put on his abulm? Damien can put on anything he chooses thank you very much!! Why ask? why did we have to go there? Here I was all happy and teary after Damien's performance and Kyle had to take away the joy! Well it just made me vote more! We'll get Damien to the Opera House!

Yes, it was really unnecessary for Kyle to say what he was saying, at least the way he said it. If he wanted to ask Damien the questions he was asking he could have come up with a much better way of doing it.

However, perhaps Kyle knows what he is doing by getting the fans all riled up, as I'm sure everyone will remember and vote more because of it! Not that we all wouldn't have voted anyway, because both those performances were brilliant!

Kyle even got my husband all riled up, so he voted as well! Hopefully that was Kyle's aim? I'll look at it positively. Damien is just absolutely fantastic, I can't wait for his CD to come out.

If Damien put it on his album, I'd listen to it! It's amazing, learning Italian in a week! And his accent was perfect - no Irish at all! He could be the next Michael Crawford if he put his mind to it, I'm sure!

It was interesting that Damien said he'd never really considered that type of song, maybe he surprised himself this week by seeing all sorts of new directions he could take his voice!
