aaawww...I just feel so *huggy* coming into this thread.


I do know how you all feel...its a little like getting dumped, eh? LOL!

For what its worth, heres my take on things (and its only an opinion!):


Who knows for sure where he is or isnt allowed to post... I think its great that he made contact with his official forum today, it made the fans very happy! And to think the poor guy has only had a few hours sleep in the last few days! What a star

It was wonderful and special to have D and Eileens attention during Idol, but the best thing about it was that they wanted to be here. I would hate for them to feel as though they need to leave us a message... I think I would rather let them be, enjoy the moment and each other for what little time they get together right now - they dont need us bugging them LOL!
Then maybe, when it all gets a little less crazy (just imagine how different and hectic life must be for them right now!) , they might want to drop by again, if only to read what we've been up to! D has already thanked us all so much and so often...I dont feel like I'm owed anything. Just the music is rewards and thanks enough

Damien doesn't strike me as the type of guy to ever forget or dismiss a kindness done to him, so I think he'll always be grateful to the people who first got this forum up and running and supported him back when so many people thought he could never achieve what he has. Murfs, you and Neski and everyone should hold onto that, and no, I don't think you're at all crazy. It is a lot to take in.


It IS alot to take in, for everyone...D, his family and us too! Theres alot of feelings and emotions involved, its been a really intense couple of months! I dont think anyone should discount their feelings as crazy, but at the same time I dont think anyone should ever doubt that D and Eileen dont appreciate every one of the fans who helped get him there.


And finally...we still have each other! And we still all want the same thing - success and joy for D and his family

Well said Winter and Kami. I couldn't agree more. He probably doesn't have a moment to scratch himself these days and his highest priority when he does have some time would be to be with his family. Give him a little time to get used to the madness and catch himself. He's not the type to forget his original fans. And as you say, we still have each other. This site and the people on it are so wonderful. I may have only joined this month, but I was visiting for months before that, so I feel that I know so many of you. This is the first forum that I've ever joined and it was because of the lovely people that post on it.

It would be counter-productive if Damien were "not allowed" to post on a fan forum. Besides, I would be very surprised if his contracts would restrict him from actions that would promote himself. I don't believe he won't be back.

Ah guys, yes big hugfest!

I think I know what happened here - we are all on a big emotion this week after all the idol results and also on lack of sleep!!

I also agree with the previous post which said Damien would never be the type of guy to forget the people who supported him, he's so genuine and lovely.

I was thrilled to see his new myspace page, and I think it's a time to be happy for him.

Lol, like many of us here, because of Damien I joined myspace too, never even understood it before! And it's given me so much fun during the contest to leave notes on each other's pages and also see Damien's & Eil's notes! Couldn't believe how lovely they were to keep in touch like that!! It's so much nicer than the old way of sending letters to management and not knowing if they're even read - at least you know it's a direct note from you to them.

I LOVED seeing Damien's & Eil's messages here, I hope they continue to stop in and visit. But never to feel like they have to. Just that they are here because they enjoy it too.

It's only early days but Damien was kind enough after only 4 hours sleep to write a lovely big message to everyone on his myspace, something he wasn't able to do the whole of the contest. I think that says so much about him that at the first chance he got he made sure to publicly thank everyone and keep us up to date.

Good on you Damien - wherever you leave your notes we'll see them, this network of Damienites is on the ball, lol, and you've got all our love and support the whole way.

Awww I need a hug...I'll just hug myself for now...ah much better. I hope that when things settle a bit Damien can post on here - i really am over jumping between forums - i like it here the best and I'm a staying. I think its great that he's posted at all - things are pretty wild at the moment for him and his family.

I love the new look of the myspace page. It was kinda crazy how everything changed so much in 24 hours though. Now he is actually the Australian Idol everyone jumps on board lmao.
