The error message I am getting says the streaming should be coming from rtsp://streaming2.rte.ie/2006/1222/ipodthelatelateshow-136459-228.rm
I've just emailed RTÉ Libraries and Archives email archiveswebsite@rte.ie to complain.

Yey! It worked for me albeit a little bit pixelated. Damien handled himself beautifully and that Louis whatshisface is obnoxious!

Finally. Wasn't he fantastic, the sensitive soul. I always knew those remarks at the audition hurt him. Did you watch his body language? Everything crossed away from Walsh. What an arrogant, smug, oily p***k. He fidgeted a lot with his hands, too. The nerves were there but he covered it well. What a star.

Wow,just watched the whole thing- Damien looked and sounded awesome. Saw his brother on the drums, his Mam, Dad and the beautiful Eileen in the audience. Thought the whole interview was fantastic. The Walsh guy was very supportive of Damien I thought- not snarky at all..(??) although he butted in on a couple of Damo's answers- maybe I missed something?

I thought Damien did a great job getting over his nerves and playing/singing. We're so used to short 1min 30 versions of any performance, when he does a full 3min 30 version on guitar and singing it seems so long!
-- Ha I am mid typing and his Video has just come on Rage on ABC TV (9.50am) --
Anyway, back to my review, his interview was great - appearing relaxed and confident even though - as BG noted - he was still nervous cos that body language gives so much away ha. Did well to get the potted history in about the AI series, and some context (25,000 auditioned, 8000 crowd at Opera House) and extra bonus points for making it clear that Sky and Come to Me are his originals and on the CD and that the new one will be mostly if not all originals - you could see Louis Walsh having to change his tune before your eyes.
And as for Louis Walsh ... what a hypocrite. Nice enough on stage but .... to then to be saying something quite different elsewhere ...

Nice enough on stage but .... to then to be saying something quite different elsewhere ... where elsewhere??? Yes...do tell. Where elsewhere? I guess it doesn't matter, though. Louis Walsh really is a big fish in a small pond, when all is said and done. He is credited with Westlife's success? Well, *personal opinion only here* I really wish he had given up that line of work before he found them, then. I don't mean to offend any Westlife fans, etc, but honestly...they have never sung an original word written by themselves, to my knowledge. Only ever covers. When you think of all the music greats, the ones with 30 year careers, etc, how many have been only cover artists, do you think? ...which is why its kind of funny, the comment Louis made about "only covers"...riiighhhtttt.... When bands like Westlife are long forgotten, Damien will still be writing his original music and delighting fans with new offerings.
