Thought LW talked too much ! D was great but now think it would be Even Nicer to see him on Enough Rope...No other "celebs" to take over the interview and Andrew Denton would sure get past D's somewhat routine answers (not criticising D...only the questions/answers are a bit predictable at this stage...) NOML was fantastic ...what a talented guy

I think the chances of getting D on Enough Rope are pretty slim (he hasn't 'done enough' yet), but you can make suggestions for a guest here: www2b.abc.net.au/enoughrope/suggestaguest/Maybe he could get a guernsey as a support guest.

My review part 2
I've gone back and watched the solo Louis Walsh interview, where Louis is pretty big on bignoting his role in the X Factor and singing the praises of the latest diva, Leona, who won. No wonder Damien was nervous when he came on to perform having been compared to that packaged pop.
But, I think it can be fairly said that from Damien's interview he used it to get the message across that not only had he won the X Factor equivalent, and had a good contract with SonyBMG [like Leona], he [unlike Leona] played instruments, performed his own songs, had 2 songs on the CD already released and at no. 1, and would be writing his own songs for the new album.
So you can see that Louis became compelled not only to be increasingly positive - at first polite positive, but eventually oh "you are one to watch" and finally begins to realise he ought to step up and give Damien the recognition and respect that he'd perhaps not given him previously.
So, I'd reckon Damien, in his usual understated way, can chalk the Late Late Show gig up to the night he won over Louis Walsh and began to make his mark in Ireland.
The single deserves success in Ireland - but whether SonyBMG Ireland will do enough to support it remains to be seen. But Damien ought rightly to be invited onto more Irish and UK shows in the future.

DEDE, Agree with your comments ---- Louis in his and Damo's interview always pushing his own barrow........Thought Damo got his point across - that Australian Idol this year was not just for people who can do covers of other peoples songs ----- e.g. Leona releasing cover of Kelly Clarkson's song as her first single........how lame..........GJ

I have just finished watching it and it was good to have read all the previous comments first. I was happy with it. I thought LW did interrupt a lot but the interview still flowed. Full marks to Damien. I thought singing the single was good too, just goes to show how good he can sound live.
