You're right Crazy and it gets even more confusing when you can't work out whether it's just a normal Internet abbreviation (eg. BTW), or someone's name (eg. KLD) or something Damien-related (eg. TWJ). (Yes, I know what those 3 abbreviations mean, they're just examples.)

I can usually work abbrevs out (lol, how cool is abbreviating the word "abbreviations" ), but there are people who don't come online very much and are probably thinking "huh?" half the time. So it's time for a list, I think.

Lol, I agree about the Da' mienite Code - I really have to strain my little brain at the moment when the songs titles are made into letters as I'm not familiar enough with the titles yet to pick it up instantly. And I don't want to say how many times I read TWJ before I twigged what it was....

I think that a list of the abbreviations would be great - and sure to include some doozies

Lol, I had to go looking for it! It's here if you'd like to see it, lol I had actually forgotten I'd told Damien good luck and that I'd voted for him!! That's why it's so good to write these things down on the night, because you do forget little things!!

It was sooo funny. B/f was strolling along in front of me staring at the horses lining up for the parade and he wandered into the street (because the street sort of curved off into a parking bay) and I was trying to call him back, and looking at him and the horses and fell onto the back of what turned out to be Damien and Jess's car . Meanwhile he spun around to see why I was calling him and also fell onto the car (OMG..... the clutz couple... ) but he landed right with his face up against the window face to face with Jess, who was probably wondering - who are these people and why are they falling all over the car... It just doesn't get much more embarrassing When we realised who was in the car I nearly died on the spot, lol.

Since they were there sort of 'incognito' we had a tiny wave and chat & moved aside down the street a bit further. Anyway thank goodness not long after that Damien got out of the car and stretched his legs and most of the waiting crowds well and truly saw him then, so it was ok, that part of the street waited with them and it was soooo nice, everyone calling out nice things and encouraging them, and also staying kind of calm around them too, it was like the whole street was sort of giving them a hug so they wouldn't feel nervous going down to the Opera House. It was a really magic moment, as the unexpected ones often are. When they finally moved over to the horse cart, the whole street applauded & encouraged them. Talk about special moments.

I had a horrible realization today -- I'll be on vacation for most of the remaining portion of this month. On vacation here in Canada with no store to run out and pick the album up from, no postal service to bring me my never ending flood of free samples (they don't forward mail to RVs, I just can't figure out why ), and no computer/internet access to even read about everyone's listening experiences! And on top of all that, the RV doesn't have a CD player and my mp3 has bit the dust! THE SITUATION IS DIRE!!

Thanks Shims!! I remembered reading that story after Damien won and thinking how wonderful it was!!! But that was probably the first day that I joined the forum, and had no idea who anyone was!! So I'm looking forward to having a good read of it tonight when everyone is in bed (except me, of course!!)

So Shimmery - first you accidentally fall onto his car, then you accidentally hear one of his songs being played on the radio at 3 am. That's pretty cool. I wouldn't be surprised if one day Damien accidentally gets lost or something and turns up at your door to ask for directions. *imagines lucky accidents that turn into cool situations involving D* ;D
