1. Wicked Game - Perfection. Starting accapella in the middle of space impressive, loved the guitar work, brilliant arrangement, falsetto AAAAAAHHHHH!! I love Chris Isaak's original of this song...and somehow Damien's arrangement and vocal made me like his version even more than the original.....I was shocked when he got the touchdown....as much as I thought he deserved it...I didn't see it coming from Mark...so i was really shocked, it was a great moment.
2. Sky - I think Sky and Come To Me are the best 2 of his original songs that I have heard so far and I'm glad he chose to do this one on the night....loved the piano and the arrangement. It seemed to get more expansive as the song went on with the band builiding up the sound somehow...I just remember being surprised and happy to see him on piano cos I didn't know he played...For some reason I was expecting him to play guitar. I was so pleased that he had the opportunity to perform his own song.
3. Message To My Girl - Simple. Beautiful. Touching. Loved the piano. Once again was suprised to see the piano as I thought that instruments were only allowed for the one week.
4. You Are So Beautiful - WOWZERS.....I was already a fan of Damien's after his first audition and solo performance, well the little they showed of it on tv, but I was blown away by his performance and the falsetto towards the end of the song was beautiful.....
5. Creep - Rock God or what...I loved his outfit, esp the leather pants hehe, I thought this song was an interesting choice, wasn't sure what to expect but what a great performance.....and the vocal was very powerful.

6. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - I really enjoyed this, deserves to be top 5 but I guess they all do lol.
7. With Or Without You - Great effort.....This is one of my fave songs and vocally it was great but this song needs longer than 2 mins to reach it's full potential. So what I'm saying is that on idol they should be given at least 3 or 4 minutes to perform a song. Not 2 minutes.
8. High And Dry - Loved the arrangement of this song with the big band.
9. If Tomorrow Never Comes - Simple and beautiful.
10. Celebration - Good effort considering Damien isn't a disco boy....I enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm in his performance and it was good to see a different type of performance from him.

He has been outstanding every week....I actually like his versions better than the original in almost every instance....
I have a feeling that this week 'Crying' and 'Hallelujah' will go near the top of the list lol.....

I agree with you ange! I think our favourite performances are going to be flipped on their heads *again* next Sunday after Crying and Hallelujah.

My top 5 are below. I love all of his stuff, just hearing his voice! But the problems with the earlier performances is that they were so short and he had to up the pace, so most of my choices go to his later performances:
1) Message to My Girl - had all the time in the world to sing this on!;
2) High and Dry - seems a weird choice for second, but I really loved how he arranged this song, and his voice was top notch;
3) You Are So Beautiful - the first song I heard him sing and was so happily shocked that Idol had exposed this talent, and I had tears in my eyes at the sound of the exquisite notes;
4) Sky - Damien being himself, singing his own song
5) Sorry Seems the hardest Word - not an Elton John fan, but listening back to this song I actually think he sang it really well;

I find it almost impossible to choose!!! Although I will comply and say the ones that are constantly on repeat!

1) Creep
2) Sky - yes i am an addict!
3) Wicked Games
4) High and Dry
5) If Tomorrow Never Comes

ohh and i know its not JUST his performance but i love it how he starts this song - Shower The People - The Final 7!

Oh and I would just like to say that I too loves everything that comes outta his mouth! He can do no wrong! ;D
