I think you would recognise "Never meant to fail" if you heard it, I believe it got a fair bit of airplay...
The Ben Harper one is quite sweet and beautiful....cant wait to hear D's version of it!

Ooh, Ben Harper and Alex Lloyd? I like both of them. I'm not familiar with the songs either, I don't think *is going to do something about that right now* but they sound promising!

I've listened to a little of the Alex Lloyd song on a Youtube clip and I think it would be a better choice for Damien than 'Amazing'. There's so much more that can be done with this song, and most people I imagine would know 'Amazing' better and would have certain expectations about it.

It's true- And I think it's great- I posted elsewhere about how, at this stage of the game, Damien needs to be singing the types of songs he's going to produce after idol . We know he can sing the classic songs - he's proven that- now he needs to show us his stuff. |

Don't know either song, but whatever Damien sings, he'll do an amazing job. He could sing a song from play-school and make it sound good.

Ahhh just listened to them both on youtube too. And of course I DO know Never Meant to Fail - I just didnt know the name or who sang it. It gets played a lot in tv shows when there's a bit of dramatic footage. Its a BEAUTIFUL song!!! Excited about this one!!
The other one - sorry - I listened to Ben Harper do it live and it was deadly dull. Hope Damien knows what he's doing with this one........ But then I have never liked Ben Harper and I love everything Damien does so I'm fairly optimistic that he'll do well with it.
