Ive been thinking about this ... As everyone knows second comes out of idol more ahead!. Due to the fact the winner gets locked into a contract for 5+ years and gets told what to do, what to sing blah blah. This is so not damien.... 2nd place usually gets a choice. and gets to do what they really wanna do. thats why they usually out do the first place .... IM A MAJORRRRRRRR OBSESSIVE FAN OF DAMIEN AND HOPE HE DOES AWSOME! I KNOW HE WILL. but i really want him to come second! because Jess needs to have the guiedence and (ruleing) that idol would give her but damien is far to free and unique to be a manufactured masterpiece! It's not a first/second thing it's a male/female thing.
Guy, Shannon and Anthony have all had successful careers.
Kate, Casey and Emily have all flopped.....Enough said.
Please vote for Damien....he wants to win.

I totally see where you're coming from and to an extent, have had the same thoughts. But the more I think about it the more I want him to get #1. I'm sure there are plenty of rules that go with ANY contract, Idol or not. And when you consider Damien's age and experience, I doubt they're going to baby him.
But let's say they do. It'll be for probably one year only. I doubt they will baby im but we have to play the WHAT IF game. Just look at Guy.. not such a great first album, but his other two are awesome. HIS work.
And above all that is the fact that we need an idol we can be proud of for once. Guy's been the only one IMO. Jess can sing a roof off, but she's too immature for such an important role and can't hold a decent interview without giggling her way through it.
Bottom line (in my eyes) is that while I see where you're coming from, a bit of thought and reasoning has made it clear that Damien needs to win this thing. So what if he is made a puppet for 5 years? After that he'll be a free man but this time he'll be KNOWN. What more could a man ask for?

Everyone knows that Shannon Noll and Anthony Callea have done better than their respective winners, but what about Emily Williams? The fact that second-place winners have often done better is because they were either more popular in the first place or more experienced and able to stand up for themselves. Nothing to do with them coming second. It does not make sense to me to put Damien in a position where he may or may not get a record deal. Besides, Damien has said that he has already been given freedom to record the winner's single how he wants and furthermore, that he wants to win. GARR. Okay... so forget everything I said the other day about shoving my views down other people's throats...  |

oh il be voting alrite. but all im saying is. second place isnt all that bad....of course i want him to win... ive wanted him to win from the day he auditiond. Good Luck to the star!

Well... "I'd like Damien To Come Second" isn't a good way of saying you want him to win, IMO. Of course we all agree he's going to succeed no matter what happens with the final, but we have to be careful what we say. There are a scary amount of people who think not voting is a good idea...  |

If Dammy WANTS to win it, then make him win darnit!!! Second does not guarantee a success. Emily Williams is not going anywhere. At least if Dammy wins, he is guaranteed a contract! And thys year's winner has more liberty in producing his/her album. Hence let's have faith that Dammy will release fantastic album! moreso, I believe Dammy winning will work out better for BOTH Dammy and Jess. Jess is simply not ready for the title - if she wins now, she'll fall apart as she seems to be unsure who she is as an artist. Hence Dammy is the deserving out of the two - he is has more experience and maturity. Let Jess experience more about life and she'll get there in a few years.

Well im sure youl deal with the title. Im going off previous idols. thats all. The Point im getting at is...Awsome if he does win. we've all been wanting him to from day one.. If he comes 2nd. Which i highly doubt anyway, then there are bonus's that come along with that... And if damien was to get more freedom from coming second, then why would i want him to be restricted? Im a fan of damien and i reckon jess is my second. jess is a baby. so im kinda sayin she needs that lil bit of controlled signing. where as damien just has it all. and will top no matter what!  Dont plan on bashing me 2 soon guyz. im justtt putting my thoughts down thats all... lol |

I really wish Jess can be a bit more mature (less giggling and smiling) about this competition otherwise I can never take her as a serious artist |

i will definatly be voting! ALOT. also im a hairdresser so work with public etc. and have asked every1 of my clients who theyre voting for if theyre watching . 90% are for damien on average! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY |
