Damien said afterwards that sometimes you just know when you walk into a room that the night will be a good one..it wasn't good, it was freakin awesome!!!  His voice was absolutely SUPERB!! and he was incredibly happy and funny, so was Eric! The jokes flowed, the music just poured out of them all in a torrent of joyous sound! The audience participated , clapping, singing a long,( although not as many singalongs tonight)..and he did BILYW virtually straight on the piano  OMG..I can't explain the vibe..it was utter magic!!  The crowd was really into it, D had a vodka or two and was incredibly vibrant...but when the intimate moments came, you could hear a pin drop..the audience held their breath, and roared their approval afterwards...so many standing o's tonight!! |

I'm so excited to hear this new version of Wicked Game with the fiddle instrumental, it sounds incredible. WOW starting with Never Meant to fail that was always one of my favs from Idol, I just loved it at the Swoon City shows in the TWJ tour, then leading in to a barrage of beauty song after song with Catch The Wind, Guitar Man, Annie's Song, If, Longer.... AND also Crying AND Danny Boy AND Beautiful AND Unchanined Melody AND Vincent AND OMG Never Tear Us Apart!!!  - AND Baby I Love Your Way ON PIANO!!!! *cannot continue.... that's not even all....what an embarrassment of riches... OMG what an overload of gorgeousness......* *this show could kill me if the set-list is anything like this in Sydney...*  |

Sounds so brilliant - wow, this is exactly how I felt about the magic in the room that night at Mingara, that was just something else and it looks like everything all fell into place again tonight as beautifully as that amazing night. |

Hi Everyone I'm probably the first one home from Capers and let me tell you it was one hell of a show Damien was on fire. I finally got to meet some of the Melbourne Damienites Trilly Princess1 Di KDL and anny TEH COMA thanks for making a great night fabulous . And best of all I finally got to meet Damien and get a great photo with him he is so generous with his time He seemed to sing and sing and sing his voice was wonderful and as there was a piano on stage he played a couple of songs one of which according to Eric they hadn't even planned.( Trilly will fill you in on what they were as she took notes ) I'm just buzzing at the moment so I'll just post this and think about it some more and get back later Thanks for checking in Roey and it sounds like you had a wonderful night. I'm so glad you got to meet some of the Melbourne girls and aren't they gorgeous!  Enjoy your buzz (aka teh coma) and we're looking forward to hearing more when you're ready.  |

I swear, shims, we were beside ourselves with joy! He was soooo brilliant! I haven't cried for a while at a D gig,but when he sang Beautiful tonight, it was so utterly gorgeous, the tears flowed.  Longer and If were incredibly beautifu too..and Crying..was, well to die for!!..and Hallelujah!..gawd, just everything!! However, if I had to pick highlights, it would undoubtedly be him opening with an incredible version of NMTF..and then, I nearly bloody died when he did Never Tear Us Apart on the piano..he absolutely nailed it!!The power and control, the tones..OMFG..I thought I would faint!! I kept grabbing princey's arm and squeezing, I loved it so much!!! |

Nuffy I know how you're feeling, believe me I do!  Damien playing guitar is one (gorgeous) thing but when he sits at the piano and plays and sings, I'm just totally lost in his spell. |
