Hhhhmmm okay , my take and the good news, I arrived there at 5:50pm with absolutely no help from my GPS
ha
But wandered in at 6pm apologizing to Brian for being so early and who should be there, but the gorgeous Neski and her sweet b/f
. So Neski and I had hugs and we had a chat at the table.....then I left the cute couple so they could get their food
. Sat and read the paper ;D until the lovely Shims and b/f arrived and we had a natter, and decided to order some breads. Braffy arrived just in time to get some and we ordered our meals. Someone ;D had pepper and chilli blueswimmer crab, which was fortunate as they had to give me
a bath a large bowl of water and a towel which was like a large asprin until you put it in the water and it expanded and is called an eekomagic wipe.....was a definite hit at our table!!!!
We were fortunate to be able to have achat with George before the show and he told us how sick poor Indi was and she was laying down in the downstairs section and he seemed to like his red rose ;D Eric was also given one, as was poor Indi. D was given pink/purple orchids ;D
As Shims said omg thank you D you were exceptionally fine looking and smexy tonight.....gulppp black leather shoes, tight black jeans, big buckled black belt, gorgeous black shirt, collar up.......
open at the top and the
to die for black pinstripe suit jacket and
ruffled bed hair ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Ohhhh....the set list:
Cold Cold Heart with Eric doing a solo section, then we heard about D closing the door on Eric's fingers, he also told me later that his boss did the same thing in Guam, so he's had a bad run with car doors and his shoe having to be posted back to Sydney
. D talked about Indi being sick and also held up the finger on his right hand with a plaster.
Catch The Wind followed by the story behind Annie's Song and how that was the first song he sang and of course we were treated to Annie's Song.
D talked about how he's improved his dancing skills since idol and gave us a series of dance poses as well as the Celebration bounce. We then heard the tale of the shy (but handsome) boy and his unrequited love for the girl who "hated him"
and then had a slightly different 22 Steps with Eric doing a solo and his unusual sounding vocals. D talked about Eric's trip to Guam and how the underwear seemed to stop while Eric was away, so D was handed the following
D sang Beautiful and it was dedicated to Ryan and it was!!
Then we had Unchained Melody with some singing along. This crowd was very happy to sing along, so D decided that as they were warmed up we should do train sounds and that meant Everybody's Talking with woos and toot toots and also had Eric doing a solo and D playing his little trick drinking the water while Ivan in the sound room sang the note and D picked it up again, but confessed to us what he'd done
hhmmm how scandalous!!
We were then treated to Hallelujah and Eric's Sleepwalker, followed by Crying and another singalong. After Hallelujah and Crying people stood up at the back and gave a standing ovation.
Then we were treated to the story of How D and his lovely wife sang Creep at their wedding and we were rewarded with the wonderful Creep ;D ;D ;D ;D and "I've got a perfect body, I've got a perfect soul", there also some singing along.
Next was the amazing Baby I Love Your Way and Eric had asolo with the unusual vocals.
D tricked us with the start of American Pie, supposed to be Vincent, but he decided to give us the chorus anyway, although some were hoping it would keep going. He explained about the flaming floors and sang that in his rendition of Vincent and then had fun with Father and Son and another bit of singing along, as well as "I am handsome"
The final song was Night of My Life and the crowd singing the chorus.
After yells for more more and people thumping the table ;D. We were given 2 more songs ;D ;D Danny Boy and All I Want Is You. The last song becoming a singing contest between D's side and Eric's side. I'm happy to report the damienites and partners were in D's winning team. As mentioned we were treated to the Irish Dancing, even though Wicked Game wasn't done and I watched the people at the back standing up to watch.
This crowd seemed to be musically aware and some were regulars at Lizotte's. They were more than happy to join in with everything, but of course, quiet when needed like in Hallelujah.
We were fortunate to be very upclose and intimate. The food was excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Thecompany was of course exceptional
;D
;D
Sorry, rambled a bit!!!
Wow, that black gear looked spectacular
