I haven't put up many of the family ones for that reason. Even though he allowed it on tv I wouldn't use them in sigs or anything, I think they need some private life. There's some much nicer ones that will be going direct to pcoe but I don't think they need to be put up here I really like this one of his dog though These will make houndsy soooooo happy. She got some photos of D's dogs from pcoe and made an awesome poster for D at the Brissie concerts of both his dogs. He was overwhelmed by them to say the least!! When I saw them on the NOML special I immediately thought of her and her poster for D. Me too Lozza! I gave a big squeal when I saw them! ;D

Here's another view for you all. Some of the lovely scenery around Milltown. This is the Hill of Allen, Milltown. I've no doubt that D climbed this hill often, everyone around here does it, almost as a rite of passage. This is a great idea.....a thread on Ireland. Can't wait for all the history/language etc. This pic looks so much like the country in New Zealand. I can even see Sheep!!

I would love to see more photos and read about more history on Ireland. Especially County Kildare. Thank you to Noeleen and SJ.

Thanks for the photos Noeleen Great idea to start another thread (thanks to SJ too)... DH & I went to Ireland in ...gulp...1994!!! Loved it and will definitely take the kids there sometime. What most impressed me were... 1) the beautiful people 2) the beautiful people 3) the beautiful people 4) the stunning scenery 5) ...lots of wonderful music everywhere!! Wonder if there's a trickle of Aussie travellers heading to Milltown to worship at the alter see D's hometown for themselves. Any daring tourism entrepreneurs offering the Damien Leith Hometown Discovery tour yet?

Did anyone else find it ridiculous that channel 10 followed Damien to Ireland? It was meant to be a holiday but they fully came into his house and followed him into the pub and everything. And like, D and E met in Dublin so it's meant to be romantic and stuff for them there, but they fully ruined it by shoving a camera in their faces.
I guess it's alright to have the cameras in the studio, cos people like to follow D's career, but seriously, although everyone's interested in seeing Ireland, they didn't have to be quite so intrusive. Although I did enjoy watching it all and I love all the pics, it must have been pretty annoying for D and his family.

I believe it was organised with Damien - obviously and the cameras were not there the whole time.......

Yeah I suppose they would have organised times and places and what they would say about the places, not just picked random times to turn up and film... I guess Damien would have enjoyed showing his home in Ireland (like how we enjoyed seeing it all), and the rest of the family probably enjoyed being on TV (even though it was on Aussie TV) and supporting Damien.
