Wow, Carla, Damien did a great rendition of Great Balls of Fire didn't he! I also forgot to mention that the tin whistle song Indi did was the beginning to "Danny Boy", which was just gorgeous as usual today. The lighting was AMAZING during that, as all the other songs, but it just had that misty look to it then, Damien looked like he was out in the fields singing in the mist and it was gaaaaaaaaah gorgeous (ok ok I know I am a sap, freely admit it ) I also wanted to say how STUNNING Eric's guitar to songs like Alone and Danny Boy were, to name just 2. These songs are just perfection, all the songs in the show played so beautifully by all three . I haven't been through my pics yet but hopefully will have some nice pretteh, esp with that beautiful lighting, fingers crossed. I think Damien's new song "Goodnight" is going to have everyone just in - it's so lovely and heartfelt, am really thrilled to have heard it. lol, just remembered too how embarrassment, when I first walked into the club I heard "Danny Boy" but with Indi's violin, and I was trying to figure out how the club would have had a copy of that on CD to play through the system and thought that was very cool - lol, of course they weren't playing a CD, I was hearing the soundcheck floating over from the auditorium So I looked through the glass door and sure enough there they were on stage doing the soundcheck, so that was nice Then I kept going and met up with the rest of the girls who were already over at the cafe. Great little club, such a nice size and so well fitted out, I totally enjoyed it. The day all went SO FAST!! It was such an enjoyable show, and it all seems like a dream now!

There is not much more for me to add. (But you all know me and I will try anyway ) Fortunately I remembered what Rivers looked like (I met her at the Blacktown concert in June) and when I spotted her I went up to reintroduce myself and told her where we were all sitting. Damien made the mistake at the beginning of the show to ask if we were watching Idol. Majority said 'yes'. 'Who is your favourite Idol?'. Well come on, there is only 1 favourite Idol and this loud voice bellowed DAMIEN. The audience burst out laughing, so Damien had to say 'Who is your favourite new Idol?' Wes pretty much got the vote. Damien then said something about Indi liking Wes, and then stressing likes Wes. He said she was single and looking for someone so any single guys, after the show go up and see her. Shims mentioned about Eils and the boys walking in just as Damien was Introducing 22 Steps. We sang Happy Birthday to Jarvis (he had a party yesterday and Damien was in 'kid' mood, ie. he may break out into a Wiggles song etc). 22 Steps was really apt because it is telling of a 'birthday wish'. The first half went soooo quickly. I must thank Rivers who came over to talk to us at interval;. We were all in the 2nd half of the room and Rivers and her sister had the front 2 seats. She mentioned how the 2 seats next to her were vacant and asked if we wanted to move down to the front. It was quite funny, because Shims had just been saying how great the lighting was and what fabulous photos could be taken from the front area. We were wondering if Rivers was taking photos and I said that her camera hadn't turned up, so she probably wasn't. ( doh! check out the photo gallery ) ;D Carla was happy to stay in the seats that she had, because she didn't want to try and nurse 2 children on her lap. MaggieMay was happy where she was sitting. She had a clear view to the stage, so Shims and I went down and took those seats. Thank you SO much Rivers It was so lovely when Damien did SKY. He mentioned how he hadn't done it for a long time. It was awesome. He said he was scared about doing his new songs but we would be the first to hear 'Goodnight'. It was also awesome. A beautiful song. Damien is really gifted in the songwiting department. he just needs more confidence in his own abilities. DAMIEN - YOU WRITE FUNTARSTIC, BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS SONGS At the end of 'Goodnight' he was asking the audience what they thought of it. It was a resounding success and some yelled out 'I'd buy it'. Great balls of Fire was another highlight. The audience loved it so much that Damien repeated it. 'Beautiful' was absolutely beautiful. I have never heard a poor performance of this song. I love it All I Want is You always rocks. Wicked Game was as stunning as ever. Not one bad song today, not that I have ever heard one anyway. Alone and Cold Cold Heart - tremendous. I could go on and on. As usual I have done a Braffy and said I had no more to add and now look at the length of this post DAMIEN I LOVED THE SHOW . Thank you for a great Sunday afternoon

I must mention our travelling home saga. We gave up the opportunity of having an after show Hut coffee with MaggieMay, Shims, Rivers and her sister. We thought it best to try and get the bus back to Sydney Terminal. Carla knew that her trains ran every hour at 20 minutes to the hour. We walked over to the bus stop and there was a timetable. We had missed one bus by 2 minutes. Oh well! Only 20 minutes til the next one. I entertained the girls by showing them some fancy dance moves . This was on Canterbury Road. Heaven help what any passing motorists thought When it did come, Carla thought that they wouldn't make the train. It was touch and go. We got off at the required stop and walked as fast as we could with 2 tired little girls in tow. We got to the platform just as the train decided to pull out. We had missed it by the amount of time it took to close the doors. that meant that there was now an hour to wait. Hungry Jacks just got some added customers. After the girtls had finished their meal it was time for me to head off and try to get home. I had to get a train part of the way and a Railway bus the rest. Fun and games. Anyway, I am home now and had a fabulous day. Thank you to Carla, Madi, Holly, Maggie MAy, Shims, Rivers and her sister and of course Damien, Indi and Eric. ,
