Now the Catch the Wind tour is over, it seemed a good time to look back and think about all our favourite moments !

- the highlights the songs teh hawtness the amazing times with friends the show experience

I asked one of the mods if I could start a thread off here in the tour area for everyone to record their list of best memories - no matter how many shows you went to, it would be great see YOUR favourite moments and why! It should make fantastic reading and bring a lot of great moments back!

This could be very difficult to pin down our individual favourites I'll be adding mine soon when I can narrow them down for the list , there are a lot of contenders in some categories!

I think I will bow out of this. How the blinken' #%&%^&^%^&&* am I ever going to narrow it down.

Let's just say Road trip (any or all), other Damienites, fun times and any time that Beautiful was played on the piano (with the violin acc.)
Food, - didn't have a bad meal. Favourite meal - Basement probably (both nights)
Awesome performance would have to be the Basement on 19th June when Damien was so ill and he put EVERYTHING into it for the TV recording. We knew he was ill but Joe public wouldn't have known because of the performance Damien did.

After saying I wouldn't answer this I just couldn't help it ;D

MEETING HIM in the flesh. wow that and the scary part of diving into my big bag and bringing out the bottle of wine that I had smuggled in

. All eyes were on me including a guard, and teh eyes. WOW and when he took it and said, ANNIES LANE"
Oooh I thought I was going to disgrace myself and do something silly like drop it or get arrested lol. Then the photo and hug.

Each show has special memories but I loved the one at Calypso Bay, it was carefree and great to look at all the faces

Melting moment there were lots but went googy and when Unchained Melody echoed all across Calypso Bay. yah

I LOVED EVERY SHOW and esp. meeting Roxy, sister, oh sorry now my mind is mush and of course my terrific friends who love him just as much as we all do.

BRING ON THE NEXT ONE and THANK you Damien for been the most kindest person I have met in the entertainment business and yes I have met quiet a few. ha ha.

to you Braffy for introducing me to this world of DLO now my co-workers call me the oldest groupie around. I'll drink to that.

well for me any chance to see Damien is good..lol and I have to say that I still like Capers for the feel of the whole room.., Nessum Dorma... the fantastic dance moves of Ray "Crazy Legs" Shrek..not his real name Damien's laughter and enjoyment of said legs.. and Ray and Damien seemed to do well instrumentally together..but not as good as Eric..lol. The camaraderie of Damien Indi and others, Indi becoming more relaxed and funny..haha!
Outfits..mmmmm....any he had clothes...lol, he always looks fantastic!!! almost..!! ( that blue suit ) still cute..haha..Most embaressing moment between anny and Damien..one not saying..lol the other Yelling out that he was soooooo CUTE in Celebration.. As to fav Songs..well all of them...

I'm going to love reading everyone's stories and favourite moments

Gosh this is going to take a while but it will be fun!
I've been to 4 shows all up this year, so i can actually remember a lot of things ;D If i need too i can always go back to my crazy reports

OK! Going down the list here we go

Favourite Song Performance - That is definitely a hard one. The way Damien sang each song every show was amazing, breathtaking, mindblowing and heartstopping in it's own way
And a thing i truly love about D's shows is the way he sings a song different each time, like the way he changes the words every once in a while or some of those divine high notes he throws in or just something like that, it's always interesting no matter what!
There are so many songs i could mention but i would have to say it would be my absolute favourite, Beautiful. Everytime Damien sings this i go to Damien heaven, seriously!. It's ALWAYS stunning and so beautiful live, i could honestly listen to it forever
And i absolutely adore the intro that Damien, Eric and Indi added to the start, so magical
And it also always manages to make me teary!, just love it to bits.
Oh one more thing, i just have to mention Wicked Game and The Irish Jig! That would have to be my second fave!, As proof on video by Di I went absolutely nuts! the first time i saw him do that, and that was At Capers in May. That's always a favourite every show, LOVE IT!

Favourite Amazing Vocal Moment - Another hard one!, but the first thing that pops to mind is whenever Damien sings CREEP!!
Ok so i basically melt everytime he does it The high note at the end in particular OH MY GODDD PICK ME OFF THE FLOOR!
And the amazing line..."I've got a perfect body" SQUEEEEE!!
Special mention to his version at Ballarat! where my eyes nearly popped out of my head in amazement, THAT WAS SIMPLY STUNNING!

Favourite "Goosebump" magical moment - Would have to be at Ballarat when Damien very kindly ackownledged us girls( but he meant all Damienites) to the rest of the crowd for all our support and all that we've done for him, and the D t-shirts ;D
It was the most sweetest thing ever and i could of seriously run up to the stage and given him the biggest hug!, i forgot to thank him for when i saw him after so Damien if you happen to be reading this, THANKS SO MUCH! it was a wonderful, sweet, and magical moment indeed

Favourite Musical arrangement of a song - Oooo i'm going to say a few, Beautiful, Hallalujah, Guitar Man with Stairway To Heaven, Wicked Game With Irish Jig and Everybody's Talkin' with The Wa Wa's and Toot Toot's ;D

Favourite Instrumental Moment By Damien - I'm not 100% sure if it was just Damien or Eric and Indi were involved, but i'm going to say it anyway!
NEVER TEAR US APART AT CAPERS IN MAY!
And i desperately want D to do it again!

Favourite Istrumental moment by one of the band - Eric in Hallalujah, awesome solo in the middle, he rocks it everytime
And Baby I Love Your Way with the voice box, i think that's what it's called? That is always great too

Favourite Onstage Moment - Oh my god, soooo many being the hilarious man he is!
I'm gonna say at Ballarat when we gave him the Santa Package revealing the thong and packet of nuts SO FUNNY! LMAO
Anddd when he said he had guns and kissed them at Village Green in May

Favourite Outfit worn by teh idol - Well my favourite outfits are at other shows , but i can't remember which!
At one show in one of the nsw shows i think? he wore a white shirt with the vest and black tie, THAT WAS HAWT!
But i can't remember alot of them through the tour to be honest, i will say these 3 words though... tight black jeans

Favourite Hawtness moment - AHHHH a lot of things Damien does is pure hawtness! just to mention a few cause theres so many obviously
Damien doing the Irish Jig, totally hawt espesh when he i saw it for the first time at Capers!
Doing his Justin Timberlake Moves SQUEEEE!

Favourite Show(Music) - Toss up Between Capers and Ballarat!

Favourite show(venue) - Definitely Capers!, that place is mega awesome!, It's Damien's fave in Vic also

Favourite seating - For the CTW tour i would say Capers and Village Green, very nice and close to the idol both times, and that's where i love to be! ;D

Favourite Meal - Capers! lol, the meals weren't too big or too small, just right! and it was delicious, they had meals i have never heard of or tired before so i was a little scared But they proved me wrong

Favourite overall show experience - CAPERS! ;D I'm going to remember that show forever, I remember the unbelievably amazing set list. it's the best i've ever heard him sing and he was certainly at his best!

Great effort Krissy, I just love reading what you have to say, you really have a great way off expressing yourself.

I'll work on something and put it up on the weekend, my mind is mush at the moment from the week of early shifts and not being able to sleep well at night

I can summarise my highlights in one sentence: finally attending my first concert It was a fabulous experience, and not something I think I'll forget in a hurry

Too Many highlights to narrow it down,but the first night I meet him at the Gaels and he knew my name from the forum was pretty special,now remember this was not long after I had joined DLO and was asked to write a report,well as some of you may remember I think the first words I wrote were the man is S.O.L what no one here had told me was that he reads the forum so when I backed up the next night and he told me he had read what I had written I was a tad embaressed,but then he told me his mum had read it too,I didn't know where to look.
I love it when he sings Wicked game
Loved Creep
Love that he knows we are out there and plays up to it
LOve him in any sort of clothing (except Yellow )
Love how he loves his Family
Love his sense of humour, I never get sick of the same stories
I love watching complete strangers fall under his spell...

DID I HAPPEN TO MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE DAMIEN ;D
I loved meeting other with the same feelings as me and I hope to meet many more of you this year.

That's so funny Kazza!! You were caught out in a big way!!!

My favourite concert was the first one at Cafe Bouvard - the crowd were just eating him up and that was the first time that I had been in a up close and personal environment with a crowd that were totally with Damien from the moment he stepped on stage!

My favourite personal moments - I have two. 1. After the first CTW Perth concert for me in Freo when I asked George if there was any chance I could say hi to Damien. When I told him my name he said something like "oh yes, he said he wanted to say hello to you!!" 2. When Damien came over for the Perth telethon (sort of Catch the Wind Tour) and I got a hug on the red carpet and he later saw us sitting up in the crowd and returned our wave!!

My favourite musical moment: The first time I saw Damien and Jimmy together at Freo and they were really having a fantastic time playing together... it was really the first time I truly appreciated Damien as a musician and not just as a singer.

Favourite banter: At the Charles Hotel there was lots of fun and banter going on with the crowd, that was a great night, and Damien seemed to be able to hear every word the crowd was saying!!

Favourite hawtness moment: After the first Cafe Bouvard concert when I overheard a lady saying that she was going home to make love to her husband.... I think she was speaking for all of the ladies there that night, as there was a lot of heat being produced on the stage that night..... particularly some hot and heavy 1...2...3...4's

I think that sums it up for me, I might add more later! Thanks for starting this thread Shims, it's been fun going down memory lane!!

Favourite song performance : Goodnight at Caper’s because I hadn’t heard it before. But Beautiful is one of my fav live songs.

Favourite amazing vocal moment : Nessun Dorma the first time in Adelaide as it was so unexpected and took the roof off. But the high notes at all the concerts were spectacular.

Favourite Goosebump magical moment: when starsis and I walked in on the soundcheck in Adelide and Damien looked up and said ‘Hi Kath’ – I don’t think starsis really believed he would recognise me until then.

Favourite musical arrangement of a song: : definitely the violin intros to Danny Boy and Beautiful that Indi wrote.

Favourite instrumental moment by Damien : when he was jamming with Eric on several songs – they just looked like they were having such good fun.

Favourite instrumental moment by the band : Eric’s solos in Hallelujah and Indi’s intros on DB and Beautiful.

Favourite on stage moment : as Krissy mentioned, when Damien acknowledged us in Ballarat and made the audience give us a clap!
I also loved the Irish dancing, such fun but D looked so serious doing it.

Favourite outfit : I liked the white shirt and black tie at Capers one night.

Favourite hawtness moment : there were a couple of times in Adelaide when I swear Damien looked right at me when he was singing…..

Favourite show for music : well, putting the two Adelaide shows together gives a fantastic set list, including Longer and If, and WG with Kiss! Also the little bit of American Pie.

Favourite venue : has to be Capers, we were so close and it was almost like having Damien singing in someone’s home. Plus the owner was ultra helpful and obviously adored D almost as much as we do!

Favourite seating : well, as above Capers was excellent, but can’t forget the reserved seats starsis and I snagged in Adelaide. It was so cool to walk in and just walk/wheel up to the front like VIPs , and then Damien smiled :-) at us when he came on stage.

Favourite overall show performance : this is influenced by purely personal circumstances, but the Adelaide show I attended with DH – he really got into it too – and on the way home we heard for the first time our son’s album which is also great . The whole evening just blew me away.
The night before with starsis was second – we had that long talk with Damien before the show and saw him again briefly afterwards.

Wow all the answers are just fantastic reading, thank you so much to everyone putting so much time into their answers, it's an amazing perspective that is only really possible at the end of the tour, to look back and remember what really jumps out at us as the most incredible memories!

I am going to add mine soon as well, still need a bit of time to think about a couple of the categories as I also keep thinking of even more great memories once I think I have it decided!
