It's so disappointing that the album is not taking off ... the public don't realise what awesome songs they are. Surely Sony can push with more TV ads as well - I've only seen it once in two weeks. Agree that Rove would be great exposure. Obviously it's a difficult game that Damien is in and he can only do so much himself.

If Sony aren't doing their share of promotion, that stinks! Perhaps Damien should consider switching to another record company, because it seems to me that Sony are more interested in promoting Guy/Jess/Wes Carr/This year's "Idol Winner". But Damien's problem remains FM radio, the two major networks just won't play his songs. Why? Because he's considered to appeal to an older demographic? I'd love an explanation from the programmers of Austereo and Nova.

Is the timing of the album of just a few weeks before Guy Sebastian's new album a future problem. Guy is everywhere on radio and now, live on TV (Rove). Kyle's was interviewing Guy in the studio this morning on his show, not sure if he interviewed Damien.

I'd love an explanation from the programmers of Austereo and Nova. Wouldn't we all I'd like an explanation of how Hot 30 works. Getting a song on the Hot 30 countdown is a great way of getting it exposure to a younger audience, its a prime time listening spot. We tried for weeks and weeks to get TGTY on that countdown, via the internet, phoning in, texting. It never made it onto their list, not once. They wouldn't even list the song in 'other tracks you might like'. While doing my daily voting today (yes, I STILL put in a vote for this thing), I noticed that a new song, just released to radio on Friday, has made its debut. They played the song a few nights ago to introduce it to their audience. And its on, simple as that. Does this seem fair to anyone? If you go to TGTY on YouTube, there are so many positive comments on the song (and not just from us! ). Comments such as 'this is his best song yet', 'I love this song' etc etc. People do like it, and do want to hear it. Maybe I shouldn't be saying all this out in the open, but people are wondering what is going on, why TGTY hasn't charted etc. I'm not trying to make excuses, but there just isn't a level playing field going on out there.

Just rang our local seafm station and talked to someone re why they do not play damien as it is unfair and actually libelous. was then told that it is not up to the radio stations. THE RECORD COMPANY sends them the music they want them to play to the musical department, asked her then is that the way that songs are played and she said yes. SO SONY She then said that she is a fan of Damiens also but there was nothing she could do. so yes you are right they are getting behind JM WC and GS

I don't listen to the Hot 30 because I can't stand the present hosts of that program - funnily enough, it was better in the days that Kyle and JackieO hosted it, even Ugly Phil before that! I'm seriously worried that Damo's album is going to sink off the charts, and Sony won't make much effort to revive it with further promotion. You're correct, they're putting all their resources in promoting Guy's album(and I don't mean to attack Guy, he's a major talent, and I think that he'd be very supportive of Damien). Damien needs a strong 2nd single, and some more live TV appearances, even "Spicks & Specks" again maybe?

I agree Sony suck, and I'm still doing Hot 30 countdown, the chart and ringing up, and how can one person have 2 songs on the chart.

I also believe that Sony are the ones behind what gets played and what doesn't! Obviously they have their reasons why TGTY isn't on the radio, but seriously it does suck!! and not to mention so not fair! Did anyone see my convo with Nova the other day on Twitter? ha, why are they on twitter voicing their opinions and behind the Nova logo sprouting their mouth off about all sorts of things and the minute I cornered him about the charts etc... he says.."Oh I don't watch the charts!!" friggen idiots! I can't wait for D to get away from Sony, I'm sure they have been a massive headache for him since he signed with them!

Sony have signed that actor from "Packed To The Rafters", the guy who plays Ben. That says it all about their priorities!

Also at Perth Telethon, Hugh (aka Ben) was being asked to sing his song by the panel, but he wouldn't - I think that speaks volumes!!
