RJ - Asha's violin intro was very pretty if brief. TGTY- Real energy and sounded great! BEAUTFUL- D's voice was divine, gorgeous rendition UNORDINARY WORLD- even though is such a lovely song and D sang it brilliantly, perhaps a more upbeat RJ song would be better early in the first set? RIDE ON -Eric on the slide again.. oh man, I adore this thing! ANNIE'S SONG EVERYBODY'S TALKING GUITARMAN/STAIRWAY - the full song, which Eric rips up and D's "aaah. a aaah"s at the end sent shivers up my spine! HALLELUJAH - amazingly beatiful. Audience adored it and they were well and truly hooked and participating after the last three songs. ;D second CRYING PLASTIC MAN!!! FIELDS OF ATHENRY ROCKY ROAD TO DUBLIN.. and the bodhran duet duel.. which the audiece loved.. 22 STEPS - WICKED GAME/ a little of TOSS THE FEATHERS encore DANNY BOY/TOSS THE FEATHERS by the end the audience were roaring! the singalongs were great fun.. but Damien the bottom tier sang MUCH better than the upper tier! and poor Billie wase slandered last night..or maybe it was Benson, one ofD's previous dogs.. Afterwards, D came out briefly to sign. He seemd to sell a A LOT of merchandise last night! I saw people with the book, CD and the single! One last comment. I heard a lady talking to Brian Lizotte, raving about how fantastic the show had been and asking when he could get D back. Brian said they'd been very lucky to have him twice in 9 months because he's DAMIEN LEITH! ;D but he can come back any time he likes!

Absolutely amazing show! and filming?? huh? When do we find out about this? Thanks for the set list and reports so far on the Lizotte's show. I really really love Plastic Man , now... ever since I got the single it's been on repeat along with the rest - litesing to a snippet wasn't enough - the whole song is just beautifully moody. I'd love to hear it live - you lucky ducks I can't wait for the update on the other juicy details...

Haha unfortunately I don't know much more about the filming than you guys - except that the cameraman and microphones were all over the stage, it looked like they were getting some nice profile shots and close-ups I can't be bother describing the show too much at the moment - I had a big uni assessment the day before the concert that I was preparing for all week, I wore myself out on nervous energy - and I hadn't seen any shows since the State Theatre, so what the other girls had seen countless times before seemed completely new to me. Suffice to say I LOVED it ALL! I love the new sound - very impressed by the stripped-back, acoustic approach, he should record an album like that! I love the addition of the bodhran (flashbacks to The Corrs for me ) and Kevin is brilliant in the line-up. Especially when he was jigging (just like Damo, he has lovely pointed toes), and drumming on the bars of the gogo cage Was also astounded by Eric on the slide - I should've known, cos I saw Mark Hart's slide guitar set up at Enmore last month, so when I saw the weird 'small guitar', I should've twigged on He was sensational - his playing has kicked up a notch, if that were possible! Asha was a good solid player, she seemed a little nervous at the top of the show, but came into her own for Toss the Feathers (another flash of The Corrs), and she was laughing at with the boys on numerous occasions And of course D is always the star! He was absolutely on fire - so witty, he worked the room effortlessly, when he came back for the encore there was a rumble going through the place, everyone was clapping and stamping. He whipped them into a frenzy, he did! Shall write more as it comes back to me - I'm just basking in the afterglow And also, I'm trying to upload a video I took of Plastic Man (I adore that song!!!), but am having issues with YouTube. I shall keep trying (if anyone has tips on what to do if the upload gets cancel because of 'unknown error', please let me know) I wish I'd filmed Damien in the gogo cage, but my memory card was full (Should also probably mention, the support act, Halfway to Forth, were very good, a talented pair of blues-playing brothers)

Hi all, I really can't add any more to what the girls have said already. It was a fantastic show, and Plastic Man... well I just so love that song. Damien was on fire and looking really 'spunky". I swear all the jokes he tells about him being 'extremely good looking' are true, he just gets more adorable every time I see him. Unfortunately I don't think he realises how really attractive he is!! We had an opportunity after the show to catch him briefly and I managed to get the novel signed (even though he said he was not coming out!!) He is so squooshy and cuddly, it took me all my time resisting not to plant a big one on him (he he). Mr G enjoyed the show as well - It was great to meet Hyper and her mum and catch up with Trilly and Dawn. We had a drink or two after the show - Mr G went to bed - he wasn't unsociable but I think maybe he was all "D'd" out! He said for me to go with the girls and enjoy myself - he's really quite shy and wasn't in THE COMA like I was!!! AND STILL AM!!!

Aww Glawzy, you were smitten the whole day through! Did you find a good place to hang that poster your lovely DH stole acquired for you? I FINALLY managed to upload the vid, after a gazillion tries! Here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rRUk21g-hwI had a video of Crying as well, but my memory card was full, so I had to delete it to get this one on record instead. I missed a tiny bit at the beginning while I was setting up, and it cut out when the memory filled up again (no space for the pole dance!) I started taping before the memory filled and I had to start purging things, got a short vid of Damien introducing the song, and when he mentions that it's a song about mannequins, some anonymous tart person called out 'woo!' Damien stopped and said 'eh, a fan of mannequins?' Lots of funny moments: Damien telling the people sitting under the gogo cage 'don't worry, you're not in danger of it collapsing any more' after Kevin came back down. They were talking about middle names, and to suit his 'Leo' moniker, Damien did a sexy 'MWROAW', then admitted it's more like ' miaow'

Just a few little snippets to add.....it was a TV film crew, so we should be hearing more about this very soon ;D and yup the pfaffing was annoying as it took 2 youngsters 30 mins to do a 5 min job and we were worried that D might be held up for the drive home after the show. It was also great to see D promoting his novel and it certainly seemed successful with the number of books that were seen to be sold. Was great to see the audience participation rev up from quiet to noisy and the singing was really enthusiastic, especially the competition.....and haha the loud boos from the downstairs group had D and the gang laughing. The audience certainly didn't want the show to end and there was a banging , thumping, stomping call for more at the end before the encore....cheeky D ducked out, picked up his Corona and ducked back off stage and the noise became louder Forgot to mention that Brian greeted me when we entered and was introduced to everyone......he's never forgotten my name can't understand why and he told the staff to look after us well The food, I must say was simply superb, both his restaurants have wonderful chefs and recipes. hmmmm yummm Chatted with the husband of the couple who won the tickets (they had already bought theirs, so took friends) and he was amazed and kept saying I know what you mean now...I'm so glad my wife talked me into coming...what an amazing performer....he really enjoyed the show as did my friends.....one rang me today to tell me she was inspired to play the album on repeat (sound familiar? ;D) After D had signed, chatted and been snapped for/with the patrons, I gave him a big bag of flakes and bounties with instructions to eat them all the way home to help put some weight on him (the poor love forgets to eat!!!) after I found out he was flying out of Sydney......and gave him a last hug...Hope he gets a chance to rest a little this week and eat. By the way D........the ladies, my friends and various others ;D all think you're looking younger We were fortunate to be close to a club where we could go and have a drink or two and chat
