Braffy, don't you remember Damien having to rush off to Melbourne for A DAY to the wedding? he was here in Qld and only just made it back in time for the Redcliffe show!Sure do Roxy, that is why I asked Mysterri to find oput which store it was. I was just surprised at the answer being Flemington in Sydney, but Myst has since corrected that to Flemingotn in Melbourne. *also waits for the extra news*

WOOOO! ;D   ;D Myst, thanks heaps for your report! Loved reading it   Again, the set list looks fantastic! I'm loving all the RJ songs on there! (pfft, that lady obviously has hearing issues!  ) Also BILYW!  I haven't heard that in so long, would of loved to have listened!  Pitty about the sounds problems though  So glad Both you ladies got to see him after the show ;D |

The crowd cleared fairly quickly except for the line-up to buy the CD's. Apparently if you bought a CD you were also given a huge poster. DH and I were sitting back waiting to see if Damien would come out. Di and her DH were doing the same I think. There was one particular barman who kept referring to me as gorgeous. "Hello gorgeous." "There you go gorgeous." "Thank you gorgeous."  Anyway I spotted Mr. Hello Gorgeous standing in the doorway of the backstage room. I was going to ask him to ask Damien if he was doing any signings but as I looked through the door there was Damien looking back at me. I asked him if he was doing any signings and he said no. I then asked if he'd just sign the photo I'd brought along of me smooching him at DOTG in Bowral. He said he would, so I raced back to our table grabbed my bag and DH and we were quickly ushered into the 'green room.' From that point on it was crazy! Snippets of conversation interrupted by club staff constantly coming in to get Damien to sign one of the big posters. DH and I were chatting with Indi at one stage and DH complimented her on her playing during Eric's guitar solo of Sleepwalk. She didn't know the name of the song she'd been playing along to and said "It's just some old song, I don't know the name of it." DH and I cracked up. Indi is such a sweet dag. Damien eventually signed my photo with the words "To Terri, ooh I've got lips on my neck. Love Damien Leith. xx x." Eric and Indi were giggling at the expression on Damien's face in my photo. Eric was then looking at one of the tickets from the show and said to Damien "You don't have that much hair, this has been Photo-shopped." Now here comes the good bit. ;D Damien finally had a few minutes to talk and he said to me "I saw Di outside, would you go and get her?" Aawww, he is such a darling. DH went outside to get Di. He said to her "Have you got a minute? Damien wants to see you." You could not wipe the smile off Di's face. ;D She immediately got a hug from Damien, another from Eric and a big "Hi Di." from Indi. It was like seeing a group of old friends getting together. I felt like I was intruding. We had our photo taken with Damien and I took a gorgeous photo of Di and D on her camera. I was so touched by Damien's thoughtfulness at wanting Di to join us. He is a gorgeous man but you already know that. ;D We said our goodbyes amid hugs and well wishes for the show in Katoomba tonight. Di and I floated out to the deck with faces like this. ;D ;D We had a mini hut for about 15 minutes but Di had to collect her DH who was sitting inside waiting for her. We said our goodbyes and headed home. It was a great night and I'm so thrilled to have had the opportunity to see Damien after the show in my home town. |

What a lovely story Myst!! Definitely the best bit! Just beautiful, what a special night Damien made it for you and Di!!  lol lol I cracked up at what he wrote for you on your photo there with the "Lips on neck" So funny what Indi said too about just playing along with "just some old song" So great to read you all had such a good night last night |

Aww, I can just imagine how chuffed Di would have been to hear that D asked for her! Her smile would have been from here........................................................................to here! ;D Brilliant! Glad you both got to say hi. Thanks for the report Myst, sounds like it was a great evening. ;D Pity about the lousy sound fo the jam though. *siiigh* So glad D is playing "Stay". LOVE that song to death. and woo BILYW, haven't heard that one in a while.. *swoon* Awesome.

I asked D to write that on my pic. That's what he said as the photo was being taken. "Oooh I feel lips on my neck." Just remembered that Damien had a large glass of Coke down by his feet. He picked it up and had a sip, pulled a face and said to Eric, "Man that's strong Coke. I have a feeling that it's not all Coke." Eric just sat there with a cheeky grin on his face. I'll be posting my pics in a minute. I'll also post one in the C&A thread. |

What an absolutely beautiful thing for Damien to do , I bet Di is really stoked with that and I just know her smile would be a mile long. So glad you both got to say a nice hello to D after the show. ;D LOL about the Coke |
