Damien was too good for the rest of them last night. He doesn't need one of those dumb awards, we already know how wonderful, talented, gifted and terrific the man is!  |

That IS a gorgeous banner Winter! So hawt, it looks like it's smoking!  Is it just me, or did he look a tiny bit freaked when he was performing last night? I wanted someone to run up & give him a neck massage, he looked very uncomfortable up there. He was still bloody fantastic though! :wolf-whistlesmiley: ;D |

I think he was really nervous to begin with Hype, but really got into it and gave it everything! ( Perhaps we'll have to call in the designated masseuse from the Care Commitee for the Logies...hmm, now who was that? Lucky thing!)  |

Isn't that the sexiest "How's it goin'" that you've ever heard!!!  To quote Renee Zellweger "You had me at... how's it goin!!!!"Damien, you were goin' real good!!! Loved it! ;D Thanks GJ for uploading!! I heard that Nicole Ritchie presented the Best Male award, and called Shannon "Sha - narn" Noll, what would she have done to Damien??

Isn't he just amazing? Thanks gj for uploading the file, I couldn't wait for everyone to see Damien tonight. He looked like the consummate professional that he is and so much more than just the 'current Australian Idol'. Damien has mentioned that he always wanted to attended the Australian MTV Awards and there he was tonight not only nominated for two awards but also performing live on stage in front of his peers. I think he left the Acer Arena this evening a very happy man and any awards would have only been a bonus. I'm not feeling any negativity toward the show because Damien didn't win an award. I honestly feel that he was the only performer worth watching tonight. The rest of the 'talent' and 'celebrities' didn't do a thing for me. As Kami said - I think it's awesome that he's holding his own in the pop arena and in more alternative circles too, but if we had to choose for him whether he would win awards decided by slaves to popular culture or be respected by music lovers... I'm sure the choice would be easy. I agree Kami, I'm a music lover and like to be entertained by an artist. Damien does that for me every time I listen to him. That's the end of my waffle. There's a new baby, a new single, a new album, a new book and an international tour to look forward to. Life is good.  I do agree. Like a lot of us, I was feeling just a bit let down last night, but having seen GJs wonderful clip of the performance (thank you GJ  ), I have to agree with these comments. Damien did damn good, his lovely, open, natural style and fabulous performance would have made him more fans last night - among his peers as well - and, after all, its great publicity for the new album coming out. Waiting now for Bump.....thats probably making him a lot more anxious than last night's performance! |

OMG. I just watched the full performance. HOW ROCKSTAR WAS DAMIEN!?!?!    And is it just me, or near the end is there a guy in the audience staring at his butt and grinning gleefully?  |
