D sang a few songs tonight..and oh my, is he looking and sounding gorgeous at the moment! *swoon* I froze my little butt off, completely underestimating how cold Hobart can be, but it was worth it to see and hear D, Eric and Cezar..and the rest of the concert in the most picturesque, perfect surroundings! D seemed very happy and was smiling hugely during Carols. I think he's a Christmas junkie (like someone else we know) and just loves the whole thing! ;D

Wardrobe report: Blue jeans, crisp white shirt and the dark velvety jacket, YUMM! I think he had connies on, but can't be sure. I don't look at his feet much these days! It was lovely to see Eric and Cezar with him. They all sounded fantastic! Having trouble remembering what he sang! haha! Too busy noticing how gorgeous he looked through my camera lens! I have some nice shots, with blue lighting and smokiness, which I'll post when I get home.

This was such a fun evening (apart from the cold!) Tasmanians are extraordinarily friendly and lovely people. A family sitting next to me kinda adopted me, being a foreigner alone, and they were so generous and warm, I'm not going to forget Tassie in a hurry. Christmas spirit and just plain friendliness is alive and well here. Love ya, Hobart! :christmashug: OK What so whatdid D sing, you ask? haha! I'll Be Home For Christmas- really, really beautiful! Dream Baby - sweet! In their first little bit..and something else, which for the life of me I can't remember LOL.!. he didn't come on til after 9 (and Santa had been) so I think I was anticipating him so much my mind went blank when he came on!

When he returned: Annie's Song- which, as always the crowd loved.. heard a few " luv ya, Damien!"s ;D Hallelujah-Jebus, that last note went for days!! and such beauty!! Nessun Dorma - Ok, being totally honest, I'm not in favour of D continuing to sing this - BUT holy crap, he nailed it so damn easily tonight, it kinda stunned me! and the small orchestral backing was awesome!

Then D came back on after a few more carols (a couple of lovely choirs -The Men In Black, in particular) and did a duet with Straalum McCullum, an incredibly gifted 40 yr old in a 12 year old's body! My god , this kid can sing! .. but I found myself suffering a little "cognitive dissonance". He sings like Buble, like Sonatra, and in suits with heaps of product in his hair haha!.. but it sorta doesn't compute in my head when I hear this amazingly mature voice coming from a tiny kid.. yet, when he sang Silent Night with D (D doing the harmonies) Oh god, it was GORGEOUS!!- really, really pretty, and Damien is so generous a performer, he applauded the young man afterward. Love ya, D!

I am reading your posts that Damien came on several times and did a few songs each time. Is that correct? How many times did he come on?

I am reading your posts that Damien came on several times and did a few songs each time. Is that correct? How many times did he come on? Yes, three times Braff, in all. The entire cast came on, as you do, to sing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" at the conclusion.

He was probably very happy to see you there plus Eils was going to be there too, so that would have been great for him.
Thanks for the report.

Thanks for reports Trilly :xmassign:
I like him singing Nessun Dorma -because not only does he do it so well but also it shows his versatility to be able to sing this where as most singers including notable Australian Idol performers would really struggle to do the same.
He always seems to get a favorable audience reaction whenever he sings this song.
