Hi everyone,  Damien will be doing a few Radio interviews this friday morning, when the album is released!  I'll post them all here and if anyone wants to start a particular thread for them while they are listening then that might be best as I don't have all the exact times sorry. Thanks for the heads up on these Roxy  The good thing about Alan Jones' interview is that his program is syndicated all over Australia (I think... well, definitely to Sydney!  ) So I can listen from any radio here. Same, I think, with the other interviewers.  So, I hope that I can tune in on the car radio cause I'll be out and about  Just wish we had approx. times cause Bob Rogers & John Laws are on the same time-slot. |

Listening since 7:50am but haven't heard a peep about the interview... Have I missed it??  he's talking to Chris Murray, lawyer, right now...  Well, I've got the 2SM webcam view of the studio for John Laws up... maybe more luck with this one. But I can't stay at the computer long cause the HBT class starts at 9:30am Hope he comes on really soon. Meanwhile I've also got 2GB playing on the radio... good thing I have 2 ears! Lol |

Aw. John Laws was an old friend of Roy Orbison and is talking favourably of OTL. He actually says that Damien sounds like Roy - which Damien had a chuckle over but doesn't sound like he'd like to agree  ... J: You're very brave doing this because Roy's so famous (paraphrasing here!) D: Barbara insisted that Roy wanted people to sing his songs and put their own spin. Now talking about his childhood experiences listening to Roy through his father and neighbour Matt O'Shea... Hi Bella. Lovely, wasn't it. very fully covered interview and so supportive of Damien as a recorder of a tribute album for Roy's songs. Well, listening to Damien with John Laws means I've missed my pump class  but hey, I got to listen and watch Damien's interview so I'm happy! (That's my cardio workout taken care of  Lol) I wonder how long it'll take him to get to the other studios? hmm Pyrmont then off to?? Oh, just saw that 2CH studio is also in Pyrmont so I think he'll be there soon followed by 2UE in the North Sydney area. |
