Wow, thanks for all the reports ladies, it sounds like no one was disappointed with the show, ( except the length, I agree a few more songs would be great) Its great how he is dedicating a song to the 's he must be so thrilled with the audiences at the shows, its just brilliant

Agreed Princey.it's WONDERFUL that D is acknowledging us at the gigs. How beautiful is that? He hasn't logged in here for a while ( Hey,he has lots more fans of course!) but it's so gracious of him to recognise his most loyal fans..and I say that with no false sense of humility! We deserve it! haha! GO US!!! and yep, the full houses must be chuffing him BIGTIME!!- which HE deserves!!

Thanks again for the reports, and Shims I don't know how you write such informative and readable posts after a few cocktails and in the early hours of the morning! ;D your a gem coming on at that hour to post for us thanks Roxy and thanks everyone so glad you're enjoying all the reports - lol my head is still reminding me how much I enjoyed it all and the lovely cocktails I love to write it all straight away while it's all still so fresh, it feels like part of the whole experience and is a little tradition I really love Braffy fantastic to read your review I hadn't realised that was you up the front being cheeky We were too far away too see who was who from where we were but could see all the fun, wasn't it such a great vibe there! I adored the show, agree too would also love it if Damien added songs like "She's A Mystery to Me" and perhaps "It's Over" would be so amazing to see those live but as it was, wow it was all just wonderful, am still feeling so today remebering what a wonderful show and night it all was. Such a great old theatre, it's big enough to be big but still feels intimate enough for the whole room to feel as one, love the old Enmore! Yes that fog machine really was unusually foggy! Normally you'd have a misty atmosphere for a couple of songs around the stage which is fab but the entire theatre was completely filled with thick fog for the support act & it only cleared a little by the time Damien came on. It looks pretty with the lighting effects but was much much thicker than usual & really got to everyone's chests, you could hear a lot of coughing. Wanted to also add the male perspective too and had a great chat with P today about the show & the songs and his favourites, he said this was one of his favourite shows ever of Damien's from the vibe of it all and the arrangements & loved all the songs. He particularly LOVES the arrangements and the way Damien has done the songs not as covers but bringing his own way to them. His favourite of the night was "In Dreams", he said that totally blew his mind into outer space (his words!) how much he loved the way Damien did it and the subtle changes even from Damien's recorded version. He found it so emotional and loved loved it and also thinks Damien's voice is in supreme form. We were an emotional little group in our row, either in tears or screaming loving it or clapping and stamping feet , I was even punching the air during Goodnight when the drums & Eric's solo cut in! P also so enjoyed the musicianship of all the guys, the way they did the changes through the songs and are such a tight & supportive band, the whole way it's all performed so brilliantly. I forgot to mention how much I loved some of the earlier songs in the set, love the way the show starts with You Got It - what a great way to get straight into it! One of my other clear favourites of the night was Love Hurts - OMG it was divine, such a big room condensed into such an intimate space and it felt like Damien was telling this beautiful story to each and everyone in turn even right up to the back, the way he reaches through the room & the emotion in his voice is unparalleled. GORGEOUS Damien, you are the best! Just loved it all - everyone still to see shows has so much to look forward to! Would love to do it all again! Can't wait for the shows later this year!

Ah gawd... sitting here drooling and reading all the comments. I agree with you Krissy and Trills, She's a Mystery to me is one of my faves..the show would be great if it were longer -songs from RJ (don't care how many) etc. etc. I'm still in D heaven and don't know how to stand it until November seems so far away.

Will just put up the list which you know in the correct order; Womby can tell you about her lovely gift You Got It Only The Lonely Dream Baby Love Hurts Working for the Man (gave D a tshirt shirt with a note saying 'feel you are ready for the next stage in your development, we are available for a private viewing' - It was a chippendale tshirt) had a giggle though 'cause he checked if it was naughty first....what on earth could he mean? Blue Bayou - with Jess Beautiful Goodnight In Dreams Running Scared Mean Woman Blues (the version I remembered was done by Elvis) Crying I Drove All Night - dedicated to ladies in front row Handle With Care Encore Pretty Woman Hallelujah Meant to say Eric played Going Home Deb, Bron came down the front to where we were and we did the hugs all around and she told us after the show that you'd heard Goodnight Carla and I did have a woman come up to us and ask us if we were the damienites, we of course said yes...she recognised us from the State theatre and signing at Westfield Parramatta There was a group of very happy females aisle dancing...I only noticed Mel. Also saw Mel after the show and gave her 3 "gold medals", same to D for their dancing said they were worth 1st, 2nd and 3rd Medals were edible, of course. It was an amazing show and have to say that huge audience was so totally into and enjoying it.....the standing ovation at the end by the entire audience was just mind blowing Was so fantastic to see the full band in action...sound was awesome Darren,Eric, Cesar & Chris Alfred supporting Damien. Was a shame about the thick smoke...as you'll see in the shots...at times Darren was totally lost even to the front row Was also wonderful to see so many lovely familiar faces

Damien didn't sing Mystery Girl, which was a shame Oh, so he didn't sing it! I was just thinking back then and trying to picture him singing it, and then realised I couldn't remember it at all. But no wonder! I was really looking forward to hearing it since it's my favourite song on the album, and then I didn't even realise when I wrote my report that D didn't actually sing it. Shows how much I enjoyed the show anyway, I guess. But definitely want to hear D sing that song one day! Surprised he didn't, actually ... I thought he said it's his favourite song on the album?

I think the 'Braffy' moment that Spud referred to was during this song. Do you recall Glawzy's comments in the album thread about if Damien crept into her room etc. she would say 'bugger off'? Well, let's just say that got quite excited during this part of the song and called out 'yes please' or Whoo hoo or some other strange noise came out of the mouth The got such a shock that I can't recall what Damien's response was. Someone please tell me I could be wrong, but as I remember it, after D sang "I drove all night, crept in your room, woke you from your sleep, to make love to you", Braffy was like "WOOOOO!" and Damien laughed and then pointed at her. Was pretty funny. And YES, the show seemed SOOO short! When D ran off the stage I was like "huh? why did he go?" and then suddenly it occurred to me that the show must be over (although obviously he then came out for the encore).

What can I say that hasn't already been said??? Thanks so much for the earlier reports everyone. I agree so much with what you've all said. Damien's voice had such energy from start to finish. I really think that the fitness from dancing everyday certainly has given him so much stamina for singing too. He looked like he COULD have sung for another 90 minutes... so how about it, Damien?? Sitting at the front of the balcony I had a terrific vantage point to see all the lights and movement around the stage. Even from way up there, I thought the fog machine was a bit much too, at times. Gives good atmosphere with the pretty lights but it was overused. I was looking forward to seeing Damien get a bit more physical on stage and he didn't disappoint me! What co-ordination with the hip action and timeing with the drums! but I have to admit I was really hoping to see some dancing with Mel too.... oh well, that would have been a bonus anyway because I really do go to the show for the singing, more than anything else. I was so happy to hear Damien sing from Remember June last night. I was so afraid he was ignoring it but NO, he'll still mention it! And YES, it is the best album he has done! I was so impressed with Damien's live version of most of the songs... especially Running Scared and that amazing In Dreams - my god, how great was that??? There were gasps from people up in the balcony when he finished. I think we were all holding our breaths! then came the One song I was so looking forward to from ROY was I Drove All Night... after talking to some others who sat downstairs, I found out the sound quality was much better there than upstairs. I'm just mentioning this as feedback to D and his crew because Damien's singing was faultless! I really loved his power and emotion ... but I'm sorry to say that I really didn't enjoy the arrangement of I Drove All Night - not sure why - maybe the rhythm of the drums or just the coordination of the other instruments?? I'm no muso so what I say makes no sense, I'm sure. But sorry, I just couldn't get into it and I really love Damien's version of it on the album. Finally, it's probably the Enmore's equipment(?)... there was a really irritating speaker vibration happening throughout all the quiet songs. Maybe there should be a crew member listening at soundcheck in different spots of the theatres to be sure everyone gets great quality sound. But having said the 2 whinges, I was not the only one who thoroughly enjoyed the show while sitting upstairs. There was some dancing in the side-aisles and standing ovations duing and at the end too I agree that the photo-moment was so much fun for both Damien and the whole audience The Ladies' Loo unofficial eaves-dropping survey once again revealed the D-virgins who were brought by friends (who'd say "I told you so!") and were totally won over by D's performance! many, many new fans were queuing up for the albums, books and autographs and they are looking out for the next shows!

Sorry it has taken me so long to report in. As many of you now know my DH is going into hospital on Wednesday for an operation so I have a bit on my plate at the moment I really can't add anything to what has already been said (so eloquently) by everyone else. Damien was AMAZING, the band were AMAZING, the show was AMAZING, everything was AMAZING.......except that darned smoke machine I fully expected oxygen masks to drop from the ceiling at some stage I forgot to take a pic of my gift for Damien but I have a copy of the file on my home computer so I will try and upload it later tonight. Just remembered one little thing that hasn't been mentioned yet (I don't think) and that was that Damien was wearing the biggest belt buckle I have ever seen - it was just begging to be polished but unfortunately I didn't have my polishing cloth with me. I did tell him after the show that I thought it was a mean belt buckle and he laughed nervously I'm not sure if he remembered the incident at Star City It was lovely to catch up with everyone again and I loved the Enmore Theatre. So fantastic to see everyone up on their feet at the end of the show too - Damien really did looked chuffed ;D And I absolutely adored seeing all the "Men in Black" - they looked stunning
