Thank you Spud for your report and piccies. I love the stage with all the posters. Nuffy, shame you missed it but glad you got to have a quick chat with D in the end. I too am interested to hear what Brian's son thought of it.

My son rang me last night with a glowing report but: SPUD has covered most of what my son said very well. He brought another CD there and stood in the line to get them both signed which Damien did and my son then mentioned to Damien he might know my father Brian and Damien replied O YES I KNOW BRIAN that was so nice to hear and he then asked Damien if he was nervous about Sunday dancing and Damien replied to him very nervous actually very very nervous Micheal My son (Michael) said that there was about 30-40 minutes wait for the album singing. He also said that Damien was so patient with everyone. Only one guitarist and it was nor Eric he said. He had a great time there last night

That is great to hear Brian. ;D I can just imagine how your son would have felt when Damien replied to him about you. ;D Yes Damien can be so patient and very generous with his time.

Great to read that you at least got to say hi, Nuffy ;D Aaw, Brian, Damien's acknowledgement that he knows who you are isn't so surprising to us. That, and his patience and charm with all of his fans is part of why we love him so much. Chuffed for you! ;D Glad you son enjoyed himself and had his CDs signed.

DS just rang to say a little more about last night.
Just a few things but they meant a lot to me firstly he said that Damien was really nice in the sense he came across to him like a good mate no sign of being like STUCK UP OR BIG HEAD (HIS WORDS) Damien asked him if he was coming to his next concert and DS said of course I am and secondly they left to go to dinner after having their Cd's signed and at the next table was a lady and her son who was around 20 and they had a signed CD with them.
DS asked them what they thought and she said she loves his voice and son then said he is great man and DS asked have you ever been to one of his concerts and she said No just listen to his Cd's and DS said you should go to his concerts there even better than the Cd's.
They both replied WOW! ;D

Way to go Brian and your ds! It feels really special doesn't it? Bet your son felt great about being remembered too. Thanks to both of you for sharing the experiences - and great promo for the show - so true too. Even if you wait a while in the line most people forget their impatience once they realise that he's so patient with them and has a little chat(depends on the Sony minder sometimes tho ). Just another example: there was a young Dad and his toddler sons. Obviously getting a cd for mum who wasn't there. Dad was really excited but soon the 2 dads got chatting and after some subtle hints from the minder Damien continued the chat standing up next to the other dad. Then out came the camera and Damien got one of the staff to take their photo with each dad carrying one of the kids. ;D ;D About missing the songs - hey, how could I be when many of you can only listen to Damien live only once a year? I know I'm really lucky being local and having mum-in-law in the next suburb.

That is a lovely story Brian, Your son sounds like he is totally converted now. Keep passing on the D Love. It also helps that Damien is such a kind and caring person.
