Just got off the phone with my 85 year old mum and we talked about Damien's performance last night. Here's part of what she said: "and in those trousers, his bum looked good and his legs are quite long for his height - all looked very nice" And later : "well now I have the phone I had better vote a couple of times to make sure he stays in" Bwahahahaha! She is bitten badly

Been at worked all day, volunteered to a mundane, work alone job out the back then spent my whole day day-dreaming and willing the day to end, so that I could get home and watch "it" again ;D After viewing D & M's foxtrot about 20 times, I feel qualified to review their dance. Using the timing on DWTS site for best of the week, I make the following points: 0:15 D is in the zone, a more handsome (yet understated) man you have never seen 0:27 Face to face, deep eye contact. Mel, you are so professional, at that point, I would not have been able to continue. In my fantasy those lips would have been asking to be 0:55 More 'burn in to your soul' eye contact. It made me feel like I was there. 1:16 The "run your hands all over my body, oh yeah" move, oh I mean Mel's body ! And what a gentleman, so careful not to touch her breast 1:30 The spin I felt so proud 1:44 I believed in everything right to the end, then you closed your eyes and looked so at peace with it all That's my thoughts

Haha Kath! That's so cute about your Mum! ;D Seriously this week was so good..I'm actually worried for the future! I have watched the dance countless times and it blows me away every time. The thing that gets me is D's stage presence. The same thing that made me fall in love with him back in Idol days. He's such a movie star! Seriously, that is the only way I can describe it. When he gets into the soul of the song/dance he transforms. Totally besotted...again! Ditto, ditto, ditto! Girls, I have a confession...I think the make no sense, constantly in a coma, totally smitten, crazy 14 year old is coming back out in me! And it's stronger then ever! You have been warned Love you all

And the best thing is - it's only WEEK 2!! Kath I'd love to see Damien offered a role in a movie or musical! Or movie musical! Or dance movie musical - why not go for broke! - he just seems born for acting as well as singing, we are finally getting to see that side of him as well! Keeping an eye out this week now that he's TOP OF THE LEADERBOARD, am hoping to see Damien featured in the DWTS stories on the morning shows and on the latest ads for the shows! I think they cover DWTS in TV Week and the other weekly magazines, has anyone seen anything yet after the big result this week? Would this week's magazines have the stories from Sunday night yet or would that be next week's magazines?

When you go to one of D's live shows (in the smaller venues) , if you watch him walking from out the back somewhere towards the stage, he looks really shy and vunerable he has his whole "cute but geek " look about him. Then as he steps on to the stage, he transforms You might say "geek goes away when hottie comes to play"

I don't bet but I like to see these as a reflection of how people see Damien & Mel's achievements... Mentioned in Tom Waterhouse's entertainment betting blog: The big mover in tomwaterhouse.com’s series winner market is Damien Leith, with the Australian Idol alumnus halving in price from 8.00 to 4.00 after receiving across-the-board nines from the judges. So, he's now placed 2nd likely to win outright, at this stage. Celebrity winner2.25 Manu Feildel 4.00 Damien Leith8.00 Lara Bingle 9.00 Haley Bracken Plus, for Top celebrity scorer (Sunday 22 May 2011), they have first: 3.75 Haley Bracken then 3.75 Damien Leith in second... I'm not too sure about that one! Because that's a judges vote as opposed to the public support for winning the comp (above). I believe he'll top the board again! These are very similar to the the odds from SportingBet mentioned by Brian but just added the comments from Tom, too. blog.tomwaterhouse.com/fore-jan-favourite-to-be-next-out-of-bounds/

Well I guess we should be glad Damien & Mel are even shown in the ad..maybe next week they'll mention his name. (Clearly not what they were expecting from D..) Thanks for posting the link Nuffy and for the Tom Waterhouse stuff (and Brian) ..how they all underestimated our man!! Krissy, I hate to tell you this but it had nothing to do with being a 14 year old... even at my age *cough29cough* it's baaaack!! Last night when hubby got home I was jumping around the place asking if he wanted to watch D's dance again..cause..you know..it WAS really good..(I wanted to share it with someone!!) and he said he'd only watch it if I didn't squeal all through it like I did on Sunday night!! MOI? Squeee? (he meant Squeee..but he wouldn't even know the word!!) So he did watch it with me and agreed..it was brilliant (well he actually said "I told you last night it I would have scored it 9" which is basically the same..even though he was talking about what a good judge he is... Men!! )

(cause I was a freak of nature back in the day ) Anyways LOLLLLLL, Oh how I've missed your posts Smiley, you always crack me up Glad your hubby enjoyed it though. Must of been hard not to squee I know I was! I kept yelling out "OMG I LOVE HIM!" And Mum and Dad were like "WE KNOW!" Although like Kath's Mum, I think my Mum has a bit of a crush too She also kept saying(being an ex ballroom dancer herself) "Wow! Omg! He's doing so good! HE CAN REALLY DANCE" DUH!
